DD3 will be a few weeks shy of 4 years old when we go this Sept. She is already 38.5" tall. I would think she would be 40" by the time we go (I think that's the minimum height). She has never been afraid of the dark rides, like HM and POC, but I am concerned about Stitch & Soarin'. I don't think she'll have an issue with the darkness in Stitch, but the chair might bother her. Also, I don't know how she'll react to Soarin'. She may not realize that we are not really that high up (but she's never had an issue with heights). She is a delayed learner, and I don't know if I will be able to adequately explain both rides to her. Then again, the witch in the Snow White ride has never phased her, nor do the loud fireworks, etc... Anybody have any experience with young ones on these rides?

I would take her on Soarin ...no problem with that one.

Stitch...I might try it if she isn't bothered by those things. My girls hate the "restraint" on stitch because it feels heavy to them. And they are 9 and 7. You can put your arm across her seat above her shoulders some so that it doesn't come all the way down on her shoulders .That might help.

My philosophy has been to take them on everything once and I have no problems with my girls. They will try everything and the only thing the youngest doesn't like is Bugs.

They did hate alien though..... :rotfl2:

My just turned 3 year old DD loved Soarin' loved it, loved it! She still takes about the birdie ride (as we called it) went twice.

She went whoooooooo the whole time. I felt bad for the people around us.

She pretty much loved everything we took her on..and she was 42 inches tall at the time. princess: (that is from Ava)

I haven't experienced Stitch as "Stitch" only as AE, and I don't think I'd recommend it for little ones period. I saw some adults and teens who were un-nerved by it as AE. Soarin', by all means, if the little one meets the height requirement and doesn't have a problem with motion sickness, this a fabulous adventure!

On my oldest niece's first visit to DL we (the whole extended family) made the mistake of taking her on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride early the first day. She was two years old and we had problems getting her on "dark" rides for years to come (she is now 14). Her little sister (now 8) still is not a fan of Tough to be a Bug (either at CA or AK) because she was about 3 the first time she saw it and the experience has stuck with her. She didn't freak out while there, but had nightmares about large bugs for years afterwards. Today both girls are daredevils about coasters, but there still is a certain distrust with the dark rides and with the younger one, a distrust of 3-D glasses.

When we go in September I will let my three year old go on Soarin', but probably not Stitch.

I think Stitch in general is just a nasty ride. There really is know themeing to it. The Chili dog burp is really disgusting, this coming from a mom with 2 boys who believe nothing is sacred. Soarin I would look at when you got there, I dont think there is anything scary about this ride but my kids are alot older than 3.

Stitch is a very dark ride...Soarin at least is brighter due to the Video. My boys love Stitch...but they are 8yo. :thumbsup2

I think Soarin would be fine, but I wouldn't recommend Stitch.

Last year my oldest dd was 3.5 and rode Soarin' and loved it. No problems at all. It is one of her favorites. I would highly recommend this to almost all kids. I wish the height requirement was lower since I think my 2 year old would love it too.

I did not take her on Stitch. I however did ride it.I didn't like it enough to risk bringing her on it and then having her freak out. It is a dark ride, and the restraints really make you feel restrained.

We are going again this May, if she asks to go on it, I will take her on it. Otherwise my family will be skipping this attraction. My DH didn't like it either last year.
