So, DD wanted to go to DIsney On Ice because it's Toy Story, and that's her absolute favorite. But we're saving up for our WDW vacation next year and I pointed out that that was money better spent on seeing Buzz and Woody for REAL than at DOI.

But a coworker just brought me some of those ticket vouchers that bring the tix down to $15 each - regularly $26. So it's basically buy one get one free. All we'd have to pay for is parking - she's old enough to know that GOING to these sorts of things is the treat, she doesn't need souvies and we can eat before we go so no food costs.

So basically we can go for $40 instead of $72. Also, she has some money set aside for a video game she wants this weekend and she has about $10 extra, so she said she'd pay for parking.

Yay!

As far as Disney On Ice shows go, Toy Story was our least favorite by far. It just lacked the WOW factor that other shows we have seen have had. We went with my son's Boy Scout pack (7 year olds). Many of the families felt that it did not meet their expectations, My son shared that feeling and he is a HUGE Toy Story Fan. One of his first words was A-Buzz!!!
I just wanted to share, expecially since you shared that you are saving for a trip. It is so disappointing to spend hard earned $$ on something that does not meet expectations.

How nice of your coworker to do that. It sounds like a fun evening with just your daughter! Enjoy!!
