DD9 has been wanting to update her purple bedroom. We got a JCPenny's sale book in the mail and she has found the comforter set that she wants. All of the pieces that we need will be over $200. Does anyone know of any discounts or anywhere else they sale this set? All I have is a code for free shipping. Also has anyone ever seen Bobby Jack fabric? If so, I might cuold make the bedskirt and curtains and pillows to save a little $$$$. Thanks for any ideas!

Here is what it looks like:

I don't have a code but my mom used to tell us to get the curtains, accessories and a solid color comforter-that would keep the cost down-or get the comforter and do a different dust ruffle- solid curtains-sorry not much help--I know-the kids ge it in their heads they want the whole room!

I would get the comforter, one set of sheets, pillow case and then get a solid bedskirt, extra solid sheet and solid curtains.

that was the only way i found to bring the costs down. we also purchased the big pieces one by one.
good luck!

I just came across a "20% off orders of $75 ore more" JCP coupon which will work for the items you want to purchase.

Use the code WKIT88 during checkout. Code expires 10/31/08.
Good for window coverings, bedding, bath, decorative accessories, rugs and apparel.

Thank you! That will help!

Thank you from me too! DD has been eyeing the same set... I just did a little early Christmas shopping and ordered the comforter (she needs a queen for her thick mattressed, full-size bed), 2 shams, and the monkey pillow. She already has a white bedskirt, white sheets, and white lace toppers over her blinds so they will go fine with the dotted one (I hope!). ;)

Hey folks! I too have been contemplating getting this line of bedding for my granddaughter's room, but it is so expensive. I just LOVE it! The fabric, believe it or not, is available at most Wal-Marts that carry a line of fabrics. You could also get one of those hot pink "fuzzy" comforters (also available at Wal-Mart) and use fabric to make pillows, shams, sheets, valances, etc. and get the effect without spending so much money. I read a forum somewhere that stated that the comforter was not very durable. It was said that the "bubbles" are made of a fabric that does not wash very well and sticks together and ruins easily. Definitely not a good idea for MY granddaughter who is 4 years old. We have to wash her bedspread frequently!! I have not seen this comforter "in person" to check it out. Anyway, if you don't like to sew, you could make a few of the accessories and buy a few....like the Bobby Jack monkey himself who would look cute on the pink fuzzy comforter with the throw pillows. Just an idea.
