DD to MK?

Now that Spectro and FITS have been added for the time we will be there I need to rework some of my plans. What is the best way to get from Downtown Disney to Magic Kingdom? Would we need to just take a bus to the nearest hotel or maybe a monorail hotel (this would give us a chance to ride the monorail ) and then go to MK? Is there a bus that would go directly from DD to MK?

We are interested in the most efficient way to get there because we want to spend as much time as possible at DD but then get to MK well before the parade to get a good spot.

Due to the abuse by non-Disney Resort Guests, there is no longer a bus from DTD to the TTC/MK...

I personally would recommend taking the bus from DTD to Old Key West, and transferring there. (Or you could take the boat to OKW from the Marketplace.) I say Old Key West, because thier buses typically have very light crowds. DTD will drop off at the Hospitality House first, and the MK bus picks up at the HH last... so you won't have to go all through the resort.

The Contemporary bus would also work, but it might be a bit more crowded. Perhaps whichever bus comes in first would work best for you. If you take the bus to the Contemporary, and then the Monorail, it will actually take you longer than the route I mentioned with OKW. However, if you walk from the Contemporary, it should be around the same amount of time.
