We all 4 got the flu shot, but I am beginning to think this is a strain not covered or either a "flu-like" virus. High fevers until the Motrin kicks in. Went to the Dr's yesterday and she felt it was a virus going around, did not offer Tamiflu-which I am now regretting. Rapid strep was negative, her throat is so sore! I feel so bad for her lying there with tears in her eyes and hot to the touch.
DS had been sick, but it was mild fever for 2 days only. I hate winter!!!

! The stomach problem this morning was a result of the motrin on a empty stomach along with the high fever. My kids always throw up when their fever's get high(even with an earache and strep!). She is tolerating the alternating of motrin and tylenol now. I plan to keep it in her through the night as I can't stand more misery for her. My Dr. called it a virus, I am now almost certain it is the flu! The strain our shot did not cover. I may get Tamiflu to prevent the rest of the family from getting it. We got the shot, but it was not for this strain! There are many wicked viruses out there the office said. Try popsickles, DD has eaten those. Hope hers is not the flu and goes away quickly!
