DD has Plantars Wart and....

Do you have time to bring your daughter down to NC for a quick trip? From some of these replies I think I must have the BEST podiatrist in the world.

My podiatrist tried the acid thing with me and it didn't do a thing. Then he decided to cut it out. This was the first time I had ever been cut on so I was a nervous wreck! Not to mention that I am severely allergic to PAIN and needles. (As well as local anesthesia!) Anyway, he knew how scared and allergic I was and he made the process as painless as possible.

Before he injected the needle he sprayed my foot with something cold to distract me from the pain, then he numbed it all the way though. The gross part here was that since my wart was so deep that he had to inject the needle from the top of my foot and work it though all those bones to the bottom of my foot. I could feel the needle pushing on the bottom of my foot where the wart was. But it did not hurt at all. A few hours later it did start hurting, but I ate tons of ibuprofen.

So, if you have a good doctor you will be fine. I am a very slow healer and this didn't take more than two weeks or so to heal.

Well, Tar Heel has me scared! I am going to the appt. on friday but I hope I am doing the right thing. I know she can't walk all over WDW with this thing on her foot. Because we leave in 7 weeks I msut do something fast. Thank you, everyone for your comments. I welcome all comments! Even the scary ones!
