My DD had a "melt-down" last night and is not coping with impending motherhood. I have spoken with her professionals and others that love & knew her. We all think that the emotions of pregnancy & fear are the cause.

Her little body and soul are stretched to the point of breaking. She has an OB appt today.

We are fervently praying that she goes into labor & delivers now! I know that everyone goes thru this in the last few days and I ache for her. Until yesterday, she had not caved into her emotions. The only way to get her thru this is to deliver and actually hold the baby. Until then, we will all be on pins & needles with worry for her.

(I have never been good at giving my worries to God. I know that He is able to carry my worst fears but I struggle with that all of the time. Maybe today I can do it.......!)

Thanks for being there for me to share.

Your DD is so lucky to have you. Continued prayers for both of you and for the soon to here baby.

I have been reading your posts periodically and I wish you, yourDD and soon to be new grandchild all the best!
I can imagine how overwhelmed and scared she must be.
The though of labor is a scary thing when you dont know what to expect. (scary when you do know what to expect too)I was in my mid 20's when I had DD and I think I was a mess right before my due date!

Browneyes....... from your mouth to God's ears!!!!!!

DD still as a week to go, so I doubt that they will but she keeps showing new signs that her little body is preparing for the big day.

........ and it is a full moon right now.......!

Claudia....I'm putting my faith in that full moon!! Good luck today! You are a good Mom!!!!

Can I tell you something? I wasn't in great emotional shape toward the end of my pregnancy either. I was a week late, my feet kept swelling up, I couldn't sleep, I was clumsy beyond belief, and I just wanted it to be over with it.

So in other words, while your daughter's situation is out of the norm, how she's feeling is not.

Hang in there, Claudia. You guys made it this far, you can make it through another week or so. {{{hugs}}}

Just know well, Claudia, my prayers and best wishes continue for her, you and your family. {Hugs}

Ditto what Janice said. So true!
You'll all continue to be in my prayers.
Hang in there, Claudia!

From the sound of it your DD has been doing an amazing job. I hope it is over for her soon.

We're still here! No real change today but the OB said that next week "she will help things along". I set the appt on Tues. instead of our regular Thurs!!!!

DD had a better morning and it helped to hear that the end is near.

Thanks, JerseyJanice, for validating my belief that this can be typical. I thought so.

Thanks for all the prayers, hugs, and good thoughts!

The homeward stretch is always the hardest but soon you and your dd will be holding the precious little one and it will all be worth it.

Prayers that things move along smooothly, and you are all soon holding a beautiful baby!

My prayers are with you and your DD. {{{HUGS}}} for you both.

{{{HUGS}}} Claudia for both you and your dd. I hope this baby is delivered soon :)

{{HUGS}} to you both, Claudia. Continued prayers for you, your DD and all your family.
