DD Destiny and her anxiety problems.

I've posted here before about DD Destiny (9 today, yea!) and her anxiety problems. Well, we switched to a different pediatrician and finally got our consult scheduled with a child psychiatrist.

I told her about the appointment and how they could hopefully help her find ways to deal with her anxiety or how to lessen it. She's quite willing to go and has been asking several times when it is and how much longer.

So, hopefully next Tuesday, we'll have some insight on the whys and how to deal with it (and help her deal with it).

Good luck with that! I suffer from anxiety but it went undiagnosed until about a year ago (I'm 20 now.). I wish I had gotten help sooner, it would have helped a lot. I'm glad your daughter's getting the help she needs

My 12 DD was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. Hers came about over the start of middle-school.

I'm not advocate of medication for children. But she's been taking celexa for a month now and it's made a world of difference.
She sees a therapist 1 or 2 a week.
