DCP for "older" students

I'm heading back to school soon, and was wondering if Disney accepts older (I'll be 35...) students?

Yes they do, and I've read of Disney CPs in their 60s and 70s

As long as you're in school than yes! I had a roommate that was in her 30's

Definitely! You just have to be enrolled at the time of your application. I know plenty of people who used to get their foot in the door.

I'm a full-time student. This will be my second time applying for the DCP. I'm getting so excited for February!

I'm determined to live in my own apartment though and (hopefully) recruit roommates to make it cost effective and leave the strict dorm life to the kids who need it.

I am in my 40's and just finished the WDWCP in merchandise at WOD. Be prepared to work your bums off. Bad hours, bad pay, young ones spent more time socializing and trying to figure out how to get out of work ( there where a few that actually worked). I was blessed enough to have my own place and family with me, oh and my hubby's pay to make up the difference in living expense and wages. Good Luck.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm 30 and have gone back to school to study costuming after being a school teacher. I'm Australian and planning to apply to do the ICP in 2015 after I graduate, so I'll be 31 when I do the program.

I'm curious, being older you generally have more experience - does that give you an advantage during the hiring process?

I did the CP once when I was an undergrad many moons (or 14 years) ago and I have always regretted not going back for another program the summer after I graduated. I am in grad school right now and often toy with the idea of going back for another CP but I can never seem to get up the guts to go for it. Good luck to all of you!
