DCL with a baby?

We have two boys...I mean princes...10 and 9. We also have a princess who is 5 months. I would LOVE to take a cruise, but don' t know about taking a wee one. Anyone?

My oldest DS is hooked on the idea after watching the Travel Channel special with me

What size stateroom should I price? Can I bring a pack n' play...or do they have cribs?

Any other advice welcomed

On our 1st trip, we took our two boys and youngest was one at the time, and Flounders was great, but I didn't leave him there too long, more me having the problem of not wanting to leave my youngest. LOL
Yes they will give you a pack and play crib with cute disney sheets. But need to request it.

I am assuming that you are a family of 5. You can book cabins several different ways depending on what you like best. Look at the cabins and sizes and see what you like the most, cost, etc. Order the free DCL video that will help also.

We loved our trip so much that we are going again this year and next year.LOL
Just watch out because you can get hooked on DCL. LOL
Take care and if you end up going? Just remember to just take it easy and have fun, you won't be able to do everything so just go for what you think your family would like the most and have fun and try and relax with your family.

I have seen it posted that it is less expensive to book connecting rooms in a lower category than the 4 or above that accomodate more than 5 people. It will also give you more room for your family & a room to close off for nap time. I would think that it is a great time for your sons to enjoy the DCL experience in the clubs & you can relax with your family, including DD, while being waited on hand & foot.

Generally, it is less expensive to book 2 connecting lower category staterooms (cat 9, cat 10) than a single cat 4 stateroom.....The advantage of the cat 4 is the verandah, vs cat 9 which includes a nice 48" porthole...cat 10 is an inside stateroom, no window....

IMO best value is connecting cat 9....far more room for storage, as well as extra bathroom facilities...book early though if you plan to go this route....adjoining category 9 staterooms book quickly.....

I say Go For It!! If ever a cruiseship to take your 5 month old it is Disney. The older kids will LOVE it as will mom & dad and your little one will be in good company as I can assure you--she will not be the only one or the youngest!!

We took our son to Flounder's Reef when he was 6 months. That was the perfect age because he could sleep in the cribs provided and was not bothered by the other children. The kids who were most upset were the toddlers who KNEW their parents had left them and has stranger anxiety with the CMs (who were awesome and very patient by the way).

Do it for sure!! We’ve done many, starting with ours first at 4 months.

One great trick we learned was to pack all his “stuff” into a big plastic tub (the heavy-duty Rubbermaid variety used for storage). This was ample for diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, bottle sterilizer, baby food, toys, clothes, etc. Before we arrived at the dock, we taped it closed with duct-tape to make sure it wouldn’t pop open. (Be sure to bring tape to tape it again the last night). We used the largest we could find last trip and it fit like a charm in the closet.

If you are flying, you may want to consider using a clear tub for TSA to see through.
