DCL transportation from WDW to Port question

Dug, have you considered renting a car? That 24 hour rental from Saturday morning to Sunday morning would probably be equal to the one-way transfer plus Lyft back-and-forth to Disney Springs. You could even enjoy breakfast at Boma before going to the Springs if you wanted. The drive out to the port is easy, as is rental car drop off, and then you would be able to control what time you arrived. But, perhaps living in NYC, you don't drive.

I have not driven since moved to NYC 11 years ago. I have a license, but a rental car is not really how I want to practice. Lol. (Also no driver's insurance since I have no car to insure.)

We have had great experiences twice with DCL transfers once from bay lake towers and second from CSR. There is definitely no status when it comes to pick up / drop off it's all just in who's on the bus. When we stayed at bay lake towers we hit all the monorail resorts and wilderness lodge and went on our way. From CSR we went to POR/POFQ but the bus was mostly full before we boarded. I agree with not driving and have had that great debate on here many times, I'm on vacation in a foreign country etc I don't need to worry about driving. Disney makes things hassle free enjoy the Disney perks. DCL transfers also handle your luggage which is a nice benefit.

Yep! Thank you! I get that most of the US is in places and situations that the idea of someone not driving and not having a car is foreign, but there are those of us who do. I at least have my license since I once lived in places where not having a car wasn't an option; but I know some people who have lived in NYC their entire lives and have no clue how to drive at all.

What ever you decide I would not wait too long to book as Presidents weekend is a busy time at Disney and you could risk not getting a room.

I have a room at the Hampton Inn already, so worst-case I will do that.
