DCL Transport from Disney resort - pick-up times

I've always avoided taking DCL Transport from a Disney resort because I felt like the pick-up times at the resort were too late and you would arrive at the port quite late. Arranging our own transportation to the port would be much better when I had an early port arrival time.

I've noticed a few comments that the pick-up times at the Disney resorts seem to be much earlier now and that you would arrive at the port prior to 11am. Has that been everyone's experience lately when taking DCL transport from a Disney resort? Anyone arriving later than 11am at the port when using DCL transport?
Thank you!

We used DCL transportation from the Yacht Club earlier this month. We were told to meet at 8:45am for a 9:15am departure. While the bus was a few minutes late, we still arrived well before 11am. We were concierge and still arrived well before concierge boarding started. Hope that helps!

That’s good to know. We are getting picked up at Boardwalk on Friday. I was wondering the same thing. Thanks!

Remind me, is there a cost for this service, and if so, how much? Thanks

In April we got there before concierge boarding and were bg 2. Talking bus from WL Saturday and are bg2 again and hoping to upgrade at port so hoping we get an early pick up.

Thanks! That helps. What was your pickup time at the resort?

Bumping to see if there are any more recent experiences? Trying to decide whether to take Disney transportation from WL in early February or schedule another transportation company

I’d love to hear more recent info too. 7:45 is unacceptable to me. That’s just a hurry up and wait at the port to me. I doubt there’s even a place to wait if the terminal isnt open. So we wait on the bus when we could be sleepying. In a bed…with pillows…and blankets.

Back in September our luggage was collected at 7am, had to meet at 8.15 and was picked up at 8.45 then had 2 more picks ups and arrived at PC at 10.30, this was from Grand Floridian

yeah we waited like 20m in the lobby then had 3 more pickups. then we got stuck in traffic. as soon as we got to the terminal and got through testing we only had to wait 15m for them to start boarding

They open the terminal to DCL bus guests as soon as the first bus arrives. I know because we were on the first bus to arrive on our recent cruise! It was kind of fun walking in to a completely empty terminal! But yeah, we then did have to wait an hour before boarding. We brought books and tablets for the kids and enjoyed looking at the big Disney ship model. Arriving early meant we had chairs to sit on though—we noticed that for the later arrivers, it was standing room only.

in June I had a 9.15 pick up from Coronado, met in lobby at 8.45.

We arrived at PC around 10.20 and boarding didn’t start until 11.50 so it was a long wait. Honestly for me the buses are too early now.

I agree. I'd rather sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast.

I already booked DCL transport and am now rethinking because they are so early. Anyone know if we can cancel the transport. Cruise in late Jan.

We were picked up from the Grand Floridian last week. Luggage out by 7 am (we took it ourselves) and pick up at 8:30 am. No time for breakfast. We stopped at the Polynesian and then off to the port. In my opinion it was way too early. But we are from CA and had not adjusted to the time change yet. Boarding group #2 so on the ship and eating lunch by noon!

Where was the meet up location at the Grand Floridian? We're using DCL transport in Jan. Thanks!
