have some questions about DCL transfers from resorts

1) what time do they pick up from resorts? we are staying at pop century
2) do they still handle your bags for you once you load the bus, do they still magically appear at your stateroom without having to interact with more people/get them when the bus arrives?
3) do you take your covid test on the bus? or do you have to get off and take it somewhereelse?

1) We were on 8/30 sailing and took DCL transfer from Riviera Resort at 12:15pm. Bus made two more stops (Caribbean Beach Resort then Art of Animation). Took about 15 min at each stop.
2) Bus driver handled you luggages. We had only carry ons but driver said to put your DCL luggage tags if you wanted them to be delivered to your stateroom.
3) once you arrive at the port, you were escorted to two different lines once off the bus pending fully vaccinated vs those who needed COViD testing. We had 10 year old so was on the line to testing tent. You need your reservation QR code’s which was constantly scanned and checked at each check points. At testing tent, I swabbed my daughter and placed label over the testing tube. You were escorted to different tent to wait for your results to show up on safe passage website. Once “clear to sail” shows up on embarkation tab, you are let into Port. Testing took 25 min! Port was dead with only few people inside. We got on the ship approx 2:40pm. Rooms were ready at 2pm. Cabana was the only lunch option left.

Frozenmania answered your questions, but the info for #1 may be different on your cruise. The cruise transfers all depend on how many people are traveling from each resort. You will get a letter the night before with your resort pick-up time. Pre-Covid the pickup times tended to be between 10:30 and 1. They seem to be starting a little later now.

Just got our letter for 7pm liggage pick up and 8:45 am bus time. Did’t even know it was possible to have a pick up that early. Almost wondering if it’s a mistake.

We were on the Oct 9 cruise and our bags were to be picked up around 7 and our ride was 8:25.
Bags are taken for you, but are on the same bus. And the baggage handlers take them off the bus.
You will be directed to the testing area. That took about 40 minutes and then into the terminal.
Boarding the ship started at 12 and rooms were ready.
