From reading the pop up windows when booking on DCLs site it looks like you can only get transfers from the airport to the port and back.
Has anyone been successful in getting transfers from the airport(specificlaly Long Beach) to a DL hotel, and then from the hotel to the port? If so how much were they per person?
I havent tried calling about this yet, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether they are even offering transfers to/from DL or not.
Thanks for any info.

And I was told that my transfers would be from DL to the Port and I would have to find my own way to DL from LAX.

Then when we arrive back in PC I could take the Bus back to WDW but would have to find my own way back to MCO.

I don't think they have all the details as of yet. She told me that I had up until 3 days prior to cancel the transfers if I should chose.

I think they are still trying to finalize all the details.....More the likely they will add them. They would be stupid not to.

It's also another company. It's not mears which Disney uses in Florida. So things might be a little different then we are all used too in FL. :(

Thanks for the info. I was guessing things probably arent settled yet, but its nice to know I could get transfers from DL to the port. Do you know how much that one way transfer is?
I dont think we are going to want a return transfer from port to airport because our flights not until 9:00pm, but Im trying to figure out the logistics of getting around right now.
Theres so much to learn! I cant wait for the first CA cruisers to get back and report everything.

For those that may be driving to the port there are a couple of hotels that allow you to stay overnight then they let you park your car for the duration of the cruise. We are driving from Northern California and may use that option. Between DL and all of the local airports there are shuttles. They can be reserved in advance or in the case of LAX you grab your bags and the shuttles are right outside of baggage pickup. You can get to almost anywhere for a price. A couple of years ago when I took a cab from LAX to DL and back there was a set fare. I don't remember what it was but for my daughter and I it was the same as taking the shuttle and no stops in between.

Two links, for those who are interested:

http://www.airportbus.com/ - AirportBus for scheduled bus service from Los Angeles Airport (LAX) or Orange County Airport (John Wayne Airport) directly to the Disneyland Hotel and indirectly to all other Disneyland area hotels.

http://www.supershuttle.com/ - Super Shuttle (click on Los Angeles or Orange County) for van service between airports, hotels, ports, homes, businesses in Southern California. (Also private sedan service through ExecuCar.)

I've never used either of these services because I prefer to rent a car in Southern California. But these services have been around for ages, and I know people who have used both (but that was a long time ago).

Andrew DEREK UK, was this booked through Disney?

We are on the June 4th cruise and also trying to work out the logistics between Airport -- Disneyland Hotel --- Port ----back to DL Hotel--- and back to Airport.

As a local So. Californian, don't worry about transfers! There are many companies (such as the ones mentioned previously) that will take you from LAX or Long Beach to DL or the port. We stay at the Disney hotels throughout the year for a weekend vacation and there are numerous shuttles and buses throughout the day arriving and leaving the Disney Hotels. If you plan on renting a car be realistic about our traffic. Driving just 25 miles during certain times of the day can take more than an hour! So allocate a lot of time when driving yourself.
Andrew Derek UK- you will love the Grand Californian. Take time to just walk around and enjoy the arts and crafts architecture.

We are on the August repo and got our airfare changes yesterday faxed yesterday. We are staying at the Grand Californian the night before and was hoping there would be transfers from there, but hadn't called since I first booked a few months ago.
