So what does this mean? That the planned ship schedule will have potentially two Disney Ships in port at the same time at different terminals. Likely it will include at least 1 of the new ships, since Port Canaveral is already looking to add in the Natural Gas fuel capability.

Hopefully, they'll also do an upgrade to the parking. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it now, but if more ships will be using it, then they'll need more parking.

So terminal 10 has another parking garage, so the current garage only needs an expansion if more ships go out of terminal 8, which could happen but isn’t really what this post is about.

In my mind this for sure means they will have 2 ships in port on the same day at least part of the year. My personal guess is continuation of the 3 and 4 night Bahamians out of terminal 8 as well as the 7 night carribeans (east and west). My guess is terminal 10 will be for 10 and 11 night southern s for part of the year. I guess they could run 2 7 nighters out of Canaveral as well, only time will tell.

I agree and was thinking about the possibilities. There pretty much endless. I've been saying for a while now 3 ships at PC but the terminal 10 thing caught me bysurprise. I have to go back and look to see what 10 is, if it's the relatively new oneor the older 1. It's possible at some point DCL could take 10 over for their own if it's the older terminal.

It's the one right off the starboard side when in port. According the reading, the proposal is to install digital signs at terminal 10 to ensure that they can be switched depending on who is in port. Since Disney is only using 3 days worth of Terminal 8, why not just expand the parking there and be done with it? Figure it might have more to do with what days of the week are best for filling ships. I don't recall the dimensions of the new ships being such that they couldn't berth at 8, unless they are unable to supply the LNG to that location without heavy construction or impact to the terminal.

I think the following impacts terminal 8: I also noticed in the proposal, that the counter space is being reduced and implementation of hand held check in items will be used. Also, an increase in seating. There is also a look at modifying the escalator and elevator to have some sort of ramp for guests once you scan off the ship.

With 8 being adjacent to 10 it wouldn’t make since for 10 to be LNG capable and 8 not. I’m almost positive this is to give Disney the capability to send out 2 ships on the same day.

I read where they will share 10 with NCL, currently NCL only uses the port on Monday’s and Friday (June 2018) which would make 10 available for Disney on Saturday’s. (The fantasy currently uses 8 almost every Saturday of the year)

When they talk lng it's on the ports storage areas not necessarily the pier. MDO and lng are both delivered by barge so there really isn't anything pierside that needs to change. Eventually there will be a branch lng line to the port storage tanks and from there it will go by barge to the ships.

What I can see is 2 things. 1 DCL can use both terminals on days when 2 ships are in port. The other is that they can close 8, use 10 and rehab 8 in a shorter period of time rather then working around in port ships. I kept getting confused between 10 and 5. I think at least 1 is 2 terminals in 1.Might even be both. Terminal 4/5 in 1 bldg, and 9/10 next to 8.
