DCL Summer 2017 Megathread - Itineraries are out!

Releasing all of 2017 would be something..! I wonder what the phones would be like on that first day though. My pipe dream is still letting platinum & gold book online day 1! :worship:
Thats the only reason I don't hope they release it all at once is the madness of it all. I am more than ok waiting for may to book october because all the summer craziness would have passed and hopefully my ta has an easier time getting me booked lol.

Due to this ridiculous wait period, I'll also wager my Mickey ears that the whole year will be announced within the next week or two. Which suits me fine as I can wait another 2 weeks to book a November 2017 cruise. It will either be Fantasy or Harmony of the Seas...but if RC does one of their Tax Free specials on April 15th WITH free grats and BOGO...then I may just book with RC and be done with it. Hopefully Disney itineraries and prices will be out by then.

Someone posted this as a comment on the DCL facebook page - "Since I have nothing to do I went on the website and gave it a look. There is nothing new listed for 2017, but I did notice there were new ports for port adventures listed. The ones I noticed were in Italy, which is easy because its usually only 3 stops. There are two new stops, Palermo, and Livorno. There is also 2 different ports listed for the Florence and Pisa port adventures. I am assuming because one is valid this year and next year might be a different port. When they didn't release the Summer of 2017 I was thinking they are either changing the itineraries of maybe they're trying to figure something out because of the terror attacks over there. I guess its the later."

Just for some speculation about Euro cruises.

Livorno is a port on the 2016 Med 7day cruises. It was changed from La Spezia, which might still be on. Both Livorno and La Spezia are ports for Pisa and Florence. And Palermo is a port on the Med 12day cruise. Sorry, no news. Would have been great, though!

I dont see why the terrorist attacks would make a difference. Thats something that can't be predicted. Many ships have pulled out of Turkey, but thats about it.

Yeah, I have no idea, I figured you all would know if that was new info. I'm waiting for the PC cruise and haven't been following the Euro cruises.

Royal Caribbean has two "Ultimate" Baltic cruises on Serenade of the Seas in 2017 (11 nights and 13 nights), and both spend 3 says in St. Petersburg, Russia. One starts in Copenhagen and ends in Stockholm, and the other does the reverse.
I looked at those. That ship gets great reviews. Seems like it has a good teens club. If Dcl does a 12 night baltic Im sure it will be at least double. I wish Carnival did European cruises every year. There ships have the same size rooms as DCL which is nice.

Just got an email from UPromise (my credit card) for disney vacations. The offer is valid for cruising through december 2017 and vacations must be booked between 4/1 and 4/30. Either this is the joke of the century since that's not even a possibility, or something is coming soon. I did call to "book" by the way... they didn't have anything

Oops.

I doubt it. Many other cruise lines offer itineraries up to to 2 years out. And DCL did also, at one time. We booked our first DCL cruise 15 months out, and our second 23 months out.

What changed? Why are they the last to announce now?

Kinda off topic, but, if you book for a cruise far out and the price goes down, for some reason, will DCL credit you the difference?

Bah, beat me to it. Livorno was the replacement for La Spezia when my wife went last summer to the Med, and Palermo was the replacement for Tunis, Tunisia when we went on our Honeymoon Med 10-night cruise back in 2011. They rerouted that one because of the Arab Spring uprisings (which from my understanding were all sorted out by the time we were to cruise and would have been relatively safe). Beautiful Sicilian countryside, but the town was kind of a dump. It'd be nice if they'd get on with it, I won't be going but still want to see the new stuff. :-)
