DCL Summer 2017 Megathread - Itineraries are out!

Are these dates as accurate as the posts the summer cruises would be released in March? ( it's now April). I think the people spreading these " rumours" should be told to stop, unless there accurate.

I am not sure why guesses bug you so much..? I don't have any issue with people posting guesses as long as they aren't marketing it as fact. Everyone is just bored waiting and chatting/hoping! :hippie:

Wowzer, some people are really uptight waiting for the release dates.

I enjoy commiserating with all of you, makes it more fun. :)

You do realize that when people are making posts about the dates possibly coming out in March, that they are going off of past years and what Disney has done and not actually saying "THIS IS THE DATE UPON WHICH FORTH DISNEY WILL PROCLAIM THE ITINERARIES".

It's all educated guessing. No one knows.

That's hilarious coming from you. :lmao::lmao: Last year, didn't you post a "flyer" you created announcing the release of dates and it was wrong...in other words not "accurate"? Of course, you removed it pretty quick after other posters called you on it.

Maybe you should just chill, many of us have been on these boards a long time... even before you created your new screen name. You have shared much speculation... some correct and some incorrect. For some the speculation is part of the fun, why rain on the parade.

Will there be sailings from Galveston this fall/winter?

If you mean THIS coming Fall/Winter (2016 and early 2017) then yes, there are several sailings on the Wonder out of Galveston. Nothing past the end of January 2017 out of Galveston, however.

Total conjecture but there are a couple dates in Nov 2017 and one in February 2018 with the Wonder visiting Grand Cayman (shows up on the schedule). She could be sailing out of Galveston or Florida but figured I'd throw that in the mix.

Since you proclaim to know everything. Why dont you enlighten us and tell usthe exact date the release will happen. I would also like to know who died on the Walking Dead last night.

:offtopic: OH, BOY -- so would I. What a lousy 90 minutes of nothing. [okay, back to our regularly scheduled chat box]

between the frustration in waiting for dates and the animosity between some posters, this thread, is like Porgy...."I got plenty of nuthin'........"

for those who have just joined the disboards, I like obscure cultural references mixed in with my posts. Nobody else does. But it amuses me............;):dance3:

Many of us share information we get from cast members and travel agents. I wouldn't call them rumors.

Where are some of you going to get your port schedules? I found cruiseTT, but it's not updated very well (doesn't show the Wonder in San Diego in May 2017, for example).

Also, Are any DCL reservation cast members reviewing this thread?

I think cruiseTT is just a website that gets it data from the different cruise line schedules. A number of ports have schedules of cruise calls on their websites. Most of them only for the current year, but a few have them for the next year, too. So, it is quite a bit of work checking the websites of all possible individual ports, see if there is a schedule and then check dates. Some ports also don't have the Disney ships with their name, but list a TBA vessel, however often with statistics as tonnage, length, passengers etc. Those statistics are kind of like a fingerprint as rarely two ships have the same, at least from different cruise lines.

Im sure thats a factor, but the cheapest inside 11b started at 10,300 for a family of four. Add tips, excursions, alcohol, airfare...out of my league. It was a lot less in 2015.

I agree that Iceland 2015 was easier in the bank account for everyone ... Based on the Alaska increases after inaugural season, I wasn't too surprised by the 2016 increase. That said, I'm glad we opted book at 8 AM on silver opening day for 2015 ... we were able to transfer OBBs and the CDN exchange rate was MUCH more favourable at the time too! it was a great cruise!

I'm anxiously waiting the release of summer 2017 itineraries as well. One thing I've learned from years of experience in the travel industry, though: Disney is not like every other company. They have an extensive loyal fan base, based on emotion and sentiment. .People will always book Disney, regardless of threats to do otherwise. And if someone gets fed up and books elsewhere, there are usually other people taking their place. Disney will release the itineraries when they're ready to. We're still over a year away from May 2017, so we're not on any sort of time crunch. It will happen!!

Sorry, but I just put a hold on a CCL cruise for next June. Disney has done more and more to lose my loyalty, both on land and at sea.
