you could fill a library with what i don't know on this topic. here are a few questions i'd appreciate insight into:
1) how does splitting a reservation between cash and points work? does that basically mean that some people (whether adults or kids) use points, and others use cash?
2) if you use points to book one category, can you use cash to upgrade to a higher one (or the other way around)?
3) is there any way to use points to book a cabin higher than category 4, if you really want to splurge? or can you get there by booking a 4 and then paying cash for a higher category?
thanks!

Let me help what I can. You can use a combination of cash and points but only pay for each person one way (cash or points) and you must pay at least one adult with points. You also must pay any cash amount based on the prenegotiaged amounts rather than any cash specials that might be available to the general public. That can be a large difference if you're looking at say 4 people and only one paying cash. I've heard that one may be able to upgrade at checkin by paying the cash difference but that the Category 3 and higher were usually booked solid. You cannot book higher than Cat 3 using points.
