Great shot Aisling!
Keep em coming Lady~
My friend Nan, the one all the way to the right in Aisling's last post, has a Canon and has used my Nikon.
Nan says the Canon *is* rather cumbersome,
that's why she didn't bring it with her to DL.
She grabbed my Nikon alot at Disneyland to take some shots during the day.
Nan said the Nikon was alot lighter.
IOW, when checking them out, don't just do internet searches-
Put one in your hand! See how it feels before you buy~
There are two other reasons I prefer the DSLR...
I have examples posted below~
One would be there is no delay!
Dale was alot further away from me when I hit the button! I still got my picture but this shot is a little too close for my liking.
Second would be my P&S's inability to focus.
It was very unpredictable when my Olympus would focus properly or even when the flash was set properly.
I lost alot of one time opportunities because my flash was obnoxiously bright or the camera didn't focus on the subject.
Keep em coming Lady~
I agree...digital SLR's are amazing, IF you know how to use them, or are willing to learn, otherwise it's a waste of money! I have a Canon Rebel and absolutely love it! The only downfall is that it is SO big and bulky and a pain to lug around. I will definitely take it on our cruise next April, however, I am currently looking at Canon Powershots, a small camera that I can have with me all the time. My co-worker has one and it takes amazing pictures for something that is basically the size of a driver's licence!
