The Port at St Thomas...you can see the Tram up the mountain on the left side of the picture. The view from the Top is gorgeous, there is a restaurant and more shopping up there. It's within walking ditance from the ship and is (I believe) $15 per person to ride it.

All of the buidlings here are shops. Again, very touristy, unless you're into Diamonds~

Another pic of the beach on CC.....:thumbsup2 ..Wish I was there NOW!:sunny:

I know this picture is a bit on the wide side, but I wanted to share it. This is a panorama made from stitching 6 photos together. The pictures were taken from our verandah (cabin 6560) just after pulling in to Castaway Cay.

What a gorgeous picture Cpbjgc! Looking at it takes me right back. I can almost feel the breeze and smell the air. :cloud9:

Thanks for the compliments. Our room was great, right at midship and close to the kids clubs and theaters. And of course a terrific view from the verandah when in port:thumbsup2 . I was a little concerned about the weather when we pulled in as it was pretty cloudy right over the island (as you can see to the right end of the picture), but it cleared up and we had a sunny day at the beach!

Sure wishing we were back there, even though it unseasonably warm here (tomorrow's high is 10 Celsius/50 Farenheit):rolleyes1

Give me Castaway Cay!:beach:

Your picture is fantastic ! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
May I ask how u do stitching ? I'm assuming you just take 3-4 pics (lined up by eye ?) and then align them up side by side ? I'm clueless....just guessing here......

Thanks! You're right on the general method for stitching, but it was a bit easier for me. I took this with a Canon S1 IS (the distant ancestor of the Canon S3 IS) which has a panorama mode. When you use that mode the camera displays the last picture you took so you can line up your next shot by overlapping the picture on the last one. Then, when you transfer your pictures onto the computer, the camera came with a program called "PhotoStich" which automatically lines everything up for you.

Since we are still on Castaway Cay, I have a picture of some flowers we saw while riding bikes along the airstrip.

awww...come on! You take the fun out of EVERYTHING!! Drinking is the only way I will stay sane until it's time to cruise, which is still over a year away! :guilty:

Yet another lifeboat drill picture - however, this year, I brought my cocktail to my station with me. I figure that glass will be pretty much attached to my hand for the whole trip, so I'd better learn how to board the lifeboat while holding it. If the ship's going down, I'd better be drunk.
