This might sound like a silly question, but I haven't been on a cruise yet... Do they rent the tuxes on the ship or do you have to provide your own? I noticed the last bunch of kids all appeared to be wearing tuxes - I know none of my family or friends kids have tuxes.

bought mine on ebay for a GREAT price ;)

My kids do not have tuxes either. I just used a hand me down suit for my 4 y/o & my 10 y/o borrowed his cousin's jacket & I bought a pair of nice navy slacks & shirt/tie & he looked very handsome.

I don't know how to post pictures but I have a photo of my DS (4) that fell asleep & our wonderful server (Plaxen) put 2 chairs together, stretched him out & put a folded tablecloth under his head as a pillow & covered him with yet another tablecloth & he slept thru the meal, nice & comfy!

Don't worry about having or not having tuxes! All is good onboard! We simply have them for a couple of reasons. First, our boys have modeled for a bridal/tux shop in our area since they could walk so they don't mind wearing them. Then they had been in about 10+ weddings in a short amount of time and really got to appreciate wearing a tux long term. Our youngest liked the way they felt against his skin. :rotfl2: The last reason is that they are fairly reasonable and last us a couple of years. We tend to cruise at least twice a year, so it is a good investment for us. But don't feel like you have to follow suit... :rotfl:

Good luck!

Not the best shot, but one that makes me long for sea breezes onboard!!!!

Yes, they do!

We had a mix at our table on formal night, suits and tuxes...we even had a sleeper, ours wound up *under* the table!

~I waited the longest time for the breeze to blow this flag and capture it just right~

Gald to see that your children wear clothes to dinner. :teeth: I was beginning to wonder about your parenting skills! :confused3

No naked natives! No naked natives! :thumbsup2

Verandah Man- Thanks so much for your help! It worked! I am trying different sizes and having fun with it.

The first picture is Formal night which was held at Lumiere's. I LOVED getting dressed up. I struggled with a weight problem all my life and in August of 2000 I started losing weight. I have lost a total of 238 lbs! This is my celebration dress!

The other picture is the Muster drill and then dinner at Palo's for our 22nd Anniversary! They made us a plate with chocolate decorations and presented me with a rose!
