I checked the houseparty map and I am the only party in my city. So very odd. Maybe I got a little pixie dust. Then again, I'm not going to get my hopes up. Ought to be interesting...

Does it say if the OBC can be combined with other offers (Disney Visa, online booking, etc.) ?

Got my box just now!

The OBC says it can only be used on NEW bookings between 1/26/08 and 8/1/08. (I go on my next cruise 9/1/08...figures! )

I could be wrong, but if the Host selected the party to be a Private Party, which is an option, it might not show up on the map.

The new DVD in the party package is on a continuous loop - just let it run and it will automatically start over again.
And don't forget to watch the out-takes!

A friend of mine just bought that same poster on eBay for $7.00 last week. She bought a 24"X36" frame at AC Moore for $19.99 to put it in.......

I really think that's why Disney waited so long to ship our party packages. They didn't want all the stuff showing up on eBay! They shipped it just in time for us to receive it for our parties.

I bought this poster on eBay from a travel agent a couple of years ago. I dropped it off this past Saturday at our DCL House Party hosts house so they could use it for the party this Saturday. This is the same frame my friend got at AC Moore for $19.99, the front of the frame is plexiglass.

Oh Heavens, I didn't know my reflection was in the pic........

Now why couldn't they have included one of each poster in our boxes? I would have loved the underwater poster.

I'm not clear on whether the virtual guests are eligible for the cruise drawing, although they are eligible for HouseParty.com drawings and sweepstakes.

Want to do a swap?? I could send you an underwater one tomorrow. I'm not planning to keep them anyway, will offer them to guests. Let me know!

It's unusual this time of year but they do deliver up until usually 8pm. You may find it says "misrouted' come 8 or 9pm and you'll get it tomrorow.

Sigh. I feel like I'm at such a disadvantage! (Yes, I'm having a small pity party before "THE" party!) I live in a dry town and have to drive almost 20 miles just to get alcohol, so I can't start up with the rum cake just yet. I live 40 miles to the nearest mall or warehouse type club, so no access to "party" foods I don't have to make from scratch and no access to stuff like Mickey Mouse cookie cutters or H2O products. So I'm not even going to try and add to goodie bags, I will just have to make do with what they send. I hope to have enough food so maybe that will make people happy! I don't know, I guess I didn't manage my time well enough so I could schedule a trip to the big city. But with one in school from 9-12 and then another out at three, and b'day party this afternoon, art class tomorrow, ballet & cheerleading Thursday, it's hard to work it time wise. And it's darn cold for Mississippi these past days so I didn't even WANT to get out! And not to mention I think some of the people of my guest list are suspicious of all this--I think they think they are going to be hit with some kind of time share or pyramid scheme when they show up! I think I will send out an email from the site reassuring them that it's NOT the case. My "regulars" are coming but I was hoping for some new folks and new friends. Maybe it's just my strange, small, cliqueish town but it sure is hard to get people to come to things around here.
AND, then there's the dialup thing where I have to go to town (wireless access) to do house party stuff and download favors and blech, see what I mean? it just makes trying to do this party stuff that much more time consuming and difficult.
Sorry for the pity party. I want it to be GREAT and fun and right now I think I'm just finding it tiring!! Maybe the box will come today and perk me up.....

No worries!! This is supposed to be FUN for you, too! Can you enlist some of your closest buds to help bring a few things? I know I am always tickled to be asked to bring my favorite something to a party. Remember the KISS principle!

Here's my favorite frozen meatball easy appetizer to get you going: bag of frozen meatballs (all groceries have these), jar of grape jelly (12.75 oz. size), bottle of chili sauce (like you would use to make seafood cocktail sauce). Combine everything in a crock pot and heat on low until the meatballs are heated through. Serve with party picks.

It sounds a little weird, but they are delish!!!

It took a few tries, but I was finally able to track my package. Mine is not scheduled to be delivered until Friday! Yikes! Nothing like cutting it close! Oh well. Thank goodness people here posted the contents. I can at least plan around them. On the bright side, my cruise ship luggage tags came today. I'm going to try and post a picture of them. Here goes:

I have that poster, too! I got it free from our local military ticket office at the Navy base. It's going to be hanging right inside the door at our House Party.
