WOO HOO!!

I have to tell you - this CD thing was pretty easy - I had A LOT of the songs on my Itunes already - so, just had to download some from Itunes store - AND................... I had this Castaway Cay CD - w/the 'welcome aboard' horn - SO - I think I have around 34 songs on my cds - will have to be 2 of them. I used most of the ones on the 'list' - took a few out. I have to tell you though, it was a bit more pricey then I thought to make them! I bought the cases for 2 cd's in one, and had to get more inserts and things, went to staples wound up spending about $60 and that included another Itunes card. But, I got a thing of 100 CDs - they were on sale!

So, today's project - burning all the cds!!! UGH And, making the covers!

No box here in NJ yet - does UPS deliver today???

Saturday delivery is only for overnight with Saturday service. No ground packages today. The good news is Monday is not a holiday for them.

No Sat service that is a bummer. Glad to here that Monday is not a holiday for them. What ever happened to getting it 2 weeks before the confused3 don't they know that we are fanatics and are sitting here biting our nails waiting and waiting I need a hug

i need to sit and do my Cd also with music. Since I am 50 I will be playing mostly songs that I partied to and danced to. Lots of upbeat songs. And a few old silly songs that we hear and say " How could that song have been such a hit"???

I need to go to itunes or lime wire today and hunt. I also have that CD that has the island music on it (laurie, may be the same as yours ) and if played on my PS3 it shows psychedelic images that dance with the music...how apropo to have that image since I was such a hippie.

I am not a wine drinker and need some help with some red wines (around $12.00-15.00 price range) that go good with Choc. and cheese. I have E-mails out to my wine drinking friends that know there wines but would like to get your opinions also on what you like.

I will have a great time at my party but me thinks I will be exhausted by the time were done

I have also told my guests to pick there favorite characters so I can put a Disney sticker on them. Also to pick a pirate name so when I introduce them they will be called that through the party...

like Debbie "The pirate Wench" Because I am the Captain and my name is Robin I will be called Captain ARRRRRRRR...

What would you pick for your name so I can give my guests some ideas?????

I am so bummed about my TV. They have not been able to fix it at my house so they are going to take this heavy 58" Plasma into the shop to see if they can fix it...

I was hoping to have it for all my videos for Saturday. They will give us a loan of a 42" but not the same. They said if it cant not be fixed than a new one will take 2-3 weeks to be delivered

A 42"? Shouldn't they at least give you a 42" And a 16". Or better yet, they should rent live actors to act out all of your fav TV shows for the time being (I mean with a 58" TV your practically watching lifesize people anyway!)

oh, well, nothing to do but be patient.

They said we should get it by the 23rd, right? Cutting it super close..

I hope it comes soon, I am waiting to see the napkins/balloons, so I can match colors for the solid plates and all.. I was thinking of doing red/black/white/yellow - but, then, I found all of this partyware downstairs, like fish/beach stuff from a few parties ago - I could use that .. I also have some stuff from the Disney Store from a while ago, but it is green and orange... maybe I'll just do primary colors? I have no clue, but I am sure it'll all fall into place EVENTUALLY!!

OH.. and.. I am curious to see the goodie bags - not sure what to do about that either... I have like 15 kids coming, so, the bags are useless for the kids, but I was thinking of making it a family goodie bag w/the CDs and other stuff, but what?? What is everyone doing w/them???

For those of you who placed orders with Oriental Trading.... I submitted my order online on 1/11 and it was scheduled to arrive by the 25th. It arrived today! Lucky thing, too, because they messed part of my order up! I bought 2 dozen pirate beach balls and they sent me a dozen pirate balls, and a dozen "color your own flip flop" balls. I called them and they said I would have the corrected balls by Tuesday! (I offered to return the wrong ones but they said they're mine to keep.) Make sure you check your orders carefully.

I also ordererd a DVD of my cruise pictures from Shutterfly.com on January 16th. I paid for priority shipping, which they wouldn't guarantee would get here by the 26th. I got the DVD yesterday (TWO DAYS LATER!).

Now, like all of you, I wait.....for that DCL box.....

As far as the goody bags go, I want to see what their goody bags look like. I'll probably hit one of the dollar stores or party stores in my area to find solid bags that match or are simliar to the bags they're sending. Target had a ton of $1.00 pirate items last night, so I picked up treasure chests and pirate guys to put in the bags. I also got the felt coloring sets (all pirates, of course) for the kids to color. I hope this all works out.....

I just wanted to drop a quick note and say what a lovely afternoon my DW and I had today at fellow DIS'ers "allears" house. Gayle and her DH John are hosting the DCL House Party that we will be attending next Saturday. It sure was a pleasure getting to meet them and their sons ahead of time, I know we are going to have a magical and wonderful party one week from tonight.

I trust everyone has fun next weekend at their party!!!

Yep, I noticed it yesterday. I sent HouseParty an email asking them to get it corrected...evidently they haven't corrected that yet!

Good thing we're all DCL experts here...
