DCL on ABC TONITE

I loved it when the CM told Jim to get down off the Mickey statue in front of Lumiere's - then said 'Have a magical day!' I laughed so hard

Never seen the show before...
Never been on a cruise before...

BUT it was GREAT to see even the snippets of the Magic tonight since we leave tomorrow for Orlando! And a cruise on the Magic on Saturday!!! So psyched that I could have watched a Presidential Debate in the adult pool and I would have loved it!

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

i thought it was cute!!!!!!!! as soon as they shown the atrium, i wanted to cry!;) . i cant believe i have to wait 11 more months till i board the magic!

I was so suprised to see Jaxs from GH as "Jims" fill in.. What a heart throb. I teased my husband that if I knew he was sailing I would have made sure I was sailing.
Although not much of the staff was spotted the entire entrance segement was good. The three CM's used were recognized by our family. The ship is so pretty.
I'm still holding out that Marco from Palo is included with his speaking part next week.

I saw Sean and I think Brett who were formally entertainment crew who are now ship officers. Sean is the one who said to get off the statue. Very cute scene! Sean used to be on the now defunct 50s night as "the nerd." It was nice to see him in action. Looking forward to next week!!............

We enjoyed the show so much that we are booking another cruise for January 2005! Now we get to sail in October and then in January!! It made me nuts having to watch and not be there!!

I loved the toilet flush!!!! It was cute, and just seeing the ship made me homesick! I have 7 more months to wait!

Can't wait to see the rest of the show next week.

My DD 13 asked, "How come the water isn't moving in the background?" It was during one of the scenes in the cabin, she also noticed the bunk beds and said, "Hey, we didn't have bunk beds in our cabin." I told her some of the scenes were recorded at their soundstage.

I still got excited seeing the family walk on the ship and be announced, brought back memories from last August. Can't wait to see what they show next week.

I'm watching the tape now.

Loved that Kara welcomed them aboard. She was great as our cruise director over Xmas.

Can't wait til next week. Looks like they have dinner in Palo!

Jim

The part I loved the most, knowing all the people in the shots were not extras but really cruisers on the ship. The sail-away part was so fun. Just a few weeks until we are on the Magic! Wooden bunks, oh well, they did great with everything else. Kathy

It was a cute show - wished they would have shown more of the ship as we sail on our first cruise in May! Question about their baby son not being on cruise with them: Where was he? (I was chasing my baby across the family room floor at the time) I thought they said something about him staying with his Grandma. He is hardly ever on the show which is pretty silly, but not going on a big family vacation like that is even more silly.

Tiger:confused:

LOL
Same here- have never watched this show before, have never cruised yet... and I was also disappointed that we didn't see more of the cruise/castmembers/etc.
I thought the CM that told him to get off the statue was probably an "actor". How cool that he's really a CM. :)

I hope they show more of the cruiseline next show... I'm not watching it to find out what happens with Jim and the "actor husband" who plays him/etc. That's for sure... LOL He's funny- but I'm watching it for the cruise- any glimpse I can get!

I noticed the bunk beds too and thought hmmm, I don't remember seeing that even in pictures of the suites! (thinking maybe they got a suite) Then noticed the water out the verandah... realized that wasn't on the cruise. LOL I wonder why they couldn't film that in the room while on the cruise? Too much motion of the ship?

I don't know who that other guy is (remember this is my first time to watch this show) but that's probably going to be me.... walking on going "hey, how come they didn't announce MY name????"
LOL Life is so unfair that way...

They said something quickly about someone watching the baby since he wasn't in the commercial. They made it sound like they weren't taking him since he wasn't in the commercial therefore didn't need him there or wasn't being paid for or something of that nature. I also thought it was odd that he wasn't going.

I too noticed the furnishings from the real staterooms & thought it was a nice touch. It almost had me wondering if maybe that was one of the suites at one point! Don't we WISH the cabins were that roomy?
I wish I'd seen more but right now that is okay, I don't need to be booking any more vacations right now!!!

It's hard when you know what's going on--when they mentioned sunset at CC I thought "but we leave before the sun sets!!!" However, I never knew the "Magic" name lights up as I've never been by the ships at night, only in the Wonder.
Andy, just a note that when I was scrolling through this thread my DS (5) saw your photo and said "Look, it's the Captain!";)

Since you've never cruised before you don't know yet but they DO announce everyone's name when they board.....just another extra Disney touch.

How cute, that made me chuckle!!!

DD noticed many of the same things people here have said--"The ocean is not moving....fake!" And "didn't you love him saying, "Have a Magical day?" And the cabin--FAKE....according to kiddo. Otherwise, show made me homesick...

It was fun watching the show! I think I'll ask for an upgrade to the wooden bunkbed rooms when we check in in April.;)

I wanted to see more of the ship! Can't wait until next week. I don't even have another booked cruise to look forward to. I am actually hoping for the possible West coast repositioning since I am in Arizona. Have made the trek to Orlando twice already to cruise. At least I can see some of the cruise on tv now until I can book again!
