We just got our luggage tags. Only one for each we used to get more. We are taking DCL transportation from a resort will they have more for us at the resort?

You may want to check whether you have only 1 per person and not 2 folded on top of each other. It is possible DCL is sending only 1, but for our cruise last September we did have 2 each.

I second this. I got mine yesterday for our August cruise and we got 2 each.

You can also call or email them and ask for more tags if you're worried.

Is it a 3 or 4 nighter or longer?

The divide seems to be 5 nights & above get 2 per person 3/4s get 1 per person

We are doing a 4& 5 night this month and got 1 tag for the 4 nighter and 2 for the 5 nighter.
That makes sense.

25 years of Disney Cruises and I never realized that. You learn something new every day!
Thanks for the info!

If that's true for less than 5 nights, it's a recent change. For our 3-night cruise in Oct 2024 we received 2 tags per person. Also, all but 1 of our 9 completed cruises have been less than 5 nights and we've always received 2 tags per person.

We just got home from a 9 night cruise. We only received 1 tag per person but the porter hand wrote 4 more tags for us there so it all worked out fine.

Well, it certainly wasn't always that way. I was on a 4/3 back-to-back cruise in February of this year and I go two tags per passenger for each of those two cruises.

I took a 7-night cruise in October, 2022 and got zero tags per person. Disney just didn't bother to send any!

I think it’s when they adjusted the mailer down to the flimsy postcard and started mailing them blank for GTY (we used to get them priority after we got a room number)

Our May Dream we got 1 per person but I’m pretty sure our June 24 Wish 3 nighter we got 2

I was also surprised to only get 1 per person (leaving tomorrow on our 34th DCL cruise, a 3 night on the Wish) - we've been on plenty of 3 and 4 night cruises and I am pretty sure this is the first time we've ever only had one tag per person.

OK, here's a question. I just got mine for my 8/25 sailing. 4-night on the Wish. 1 tag. Usually not an issue since I'm solo, but I'm doing 5 nights at WDW before the cruise so I will have a second bag with me. (It won't be opened...it'll be the stuff from the WDW portion. But I'm going to the airport from the ship so it's not like I could store it at WDW.)) I'm taking DCL transportation from Sports to the ship. Though the WDW portion bag will be roll-aboard size, I'd rather not deal with it before staterooms are ready.

Could I make a copy of the tag and do "arts and crafts" to put it on the smaller bag and leave it with the larger cruise bag with the OG tag on it? I'd rather not have to take the smaller one to the bus with me.

When you check in at Sports for your transfer, they will have extra bag tags that you can use.

I'd like to have both bags in the same truck - meaning both would be picked up from my room. That's done before you check in for the transfer.

In the past when we've had extra luggage--we have just cut the tag in half. Never had a problem doing it that way!

Go to Bell Services the night before and they normally have them at the WDW resorts. Just let them know you know Cruise tags and the ship. So your bags will be tagged and ready for 7 AM pick up.

One would think that bell services who picks up the bag would have extra luggage tags for exactly this scenario. I wouldn’t want to rely on that either though. But maybe you can ask - if you are there when they come for pick up. I think it would be great to know! Hope you can score a luggage tag the day before so that that’s resolved!

Have a great cruise!
