For all my fellow cruisers if you go to vancouverattractions.com go up to the top of the page where it says coupons......you can print out a page that has coupons for aquarium, capilano bridge, stanley park horse drawn tours...etc

Camera people - I posted on the FB page as well, but DH got a nice zoom lens for graduation (got his Master's on Thursday after lots of hard work) and he wants to know if it will be sufficient for most wildlife shots in Alaska. You know, like seals or eagles on floating chunks of ice He got a 55-250 Canon with IS - this one. The gift was a surprise to us both! He had been planning to rent a slightly larger telephoto, but we are hoping this one will be sufficient for amateur shots. He's still going to rent a wide angle, but this would cut our rental bill in half.
Yay for nice inlaws!

there is talk about a UV filter, sounds like that could come in really handy for an AK cruise

Not exactly sure what you are meaning. But, the Aquarium is a good half day visit. We usually go for about 3+ hours.

Also, someone else mentioned about clown fish. There is usually a full tank of Nemo.

Basically we only have one full day in Vancouver. DD and I REALLY want to see the aquarium, but DH and DS not so much. So we have convinced them it could be a "short" visit. I am also considering sending them off to do whatever. Once they get into places like this they both really enjoy it, but are always admanent in the beginning they will not. So I am just trying to keep everyone happy. I know I could probably spend a full day there plus.

I need to get my act together and start planning.

I thought that once the kids finished school, I would have more time to get things done. WRONG!

Marina and I are going to Mackinaw with her Girl Scout troop for the weekend.
We leave on Friday morning. Her leader has lots of plans- We will be going to the island, doing ziplining and high ropes, tubing, bumper boats, house of mirrors and some haunted attractions. On the way home, Marina would like to stop at Frankenmuth for dinner and to go to Bronner's. Since I am driving just the two of us, it sounds great!

Marina asked if we could drive alone , so we could stop if we wanted. I usually get stuck with all the girls that do not have parents going since I am responsible.

I hear ya about not having any time......kids suck every minute from me but I will miss it when they wont need me one day to drive them somewhere or do something with. I figure I can just throw stuff in a bag for alaska....so if you seen a family freezing in bermuda shorts, wool sweaters, and flip flops that will be us

It may be us too....I don't have time to do packing or that sort of stuff until last minute...the kids do take a lot of time and now I'm having back problems so that will take what little other time I have left....

My family will probably be in shorts and tank tops/ t- shirts and flip flops on the glacier. They are always hot. I will be the one bundled up with many layers and a blanket.

Hi, I'm new to this thread despite booking this trip two years ago...I can only blame it on my work schedule *sigh*. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

I'll be traveling with my DH Ed and DD Hayley (college age) and this is our second Disney cruise We have late dining.

I'm so excited I can barely contain myself - have been looking forward to this trip for a long time.

Is it too late to do the FE?

Good morning all! I have one sutecase packed and one other 1/2 done. I am really trying not to over pack for this trip since we have to pay for bags. I think I can get by with 1 1/2 bags and DH can have the other 1/2.

Enjoy the kids while they are small because they will be gone before you know it.

I have been working on the wedding invitations for DD Oct wedding so they will go out before the trip. So little time and so much to do. Does anyone else feel like this cruise seemed so far away and now I am not prepared for it being this close?

I am working today and taking my holiday on the 18th when we go to texas to see our oldest!! It's crazy at the beach, people are parked out already for the fireworks tonight!!! I hope they have lots of sunscreen!! It's hot out there!

I worked the 4th but the only danger was overexposure to fluorescent lights! It was a beautiful day out and I slept most of it.

We are actually heading to TX tomorrow for a long weekend. Texas in July.....
