If the excursion online says 9:00am, is that the time you usually have to be there to check in for the excursion or is that the time the excursion leaves? Thanks.

Are you talking about a DCL excursion? The ticket you get in your room on embarkation will have the time and location that you must check in by. Usually, the time that's listed on the reservation booking page will be the time for check in (or close to it).

If it's a private excursion, you'd have to ask the tour company.

As a side note, please be there no later than the posted time (with KTTW cards for every person in your party, as well as photo ID's for those 18 and over). I don't know how many of our excursions have been delayed because of late arrivals and people who forgot their photo IDs or their kids' KTTW cards.

Yes. Please.

That is definitely the arrive by time. They were pretty prompt about leaving after that.

One other thing about Excursion times. I don't know anyone else's experience, but in our experience the "return by time" is never correct. It always lasts longer than it says on the ticket. Which is great because you get a longer excursion, but if you are counting on shopping or something afterwards... Don't bet on it.

For all our sake's...... ;)

One question about photo ID's. I know you need to have them for excursions, and on the ship, before the excursion, I was asked by CM for my photo ID almost every time, but never ONCE when trying to get back on board. Is that typical? Or do they mostly ask to see the photo ID again before getting back on the ship? Or do they just want you to have them in case something goes wrong?

Photo IDs are typically only needed to access the dock area in a port. They don't ask for photo IDs to board the ship, only your KTTW card.

Maybe I am did not make my question clear, sorry. I plan on being on time :) For Cozumel, the time listed online now for my cruise in December for Fury Catamaran is 8:15am. I was just wondering if that was the time it actually left, so will the ticket in the room might say meet at 7:45AM.... or is that likely the time to meet 8:15am, with actually time departing once everyone checks going to be more like 8:30/8:45am? Does that make sense??

If that is the time listed for the excursion, that will be the "arrive no later than" time, most likely in one of the clubs or one of the theaters (it will say where on your ticket left in your stateroom when you board). For afternoon excursion times (when the ship arrives in the morning), the meeting place is often off the ship because they assume you may have been off the ship on your own or on another excursion already.

OK thanks.... we were splitting up that day, so trying to figure everything out.

If your excursion says 8:15, then that is almost certainly the meet time you will get on the paper tickets at the start of your cruise. But you won't be at the meeting place until 8:45. They are usually very efficient. In our case, we were out of the meeting place within 5 or 10 minutes after the scheduled time.

The return time, as I mentioned, will almost certainly be incorrect.
