I love Disney and we took our first cruise in 1/03 in two connecting cat. 10's SPR. Now my kids (16, 14, 12, and 9) want to cruise again. I have booked (thru DU) two Cat. 11's for next spring break (3/05), but I noticed that RCCL Sovereign of the Seas has a 4 night (also) and not day at sea (a plus because some of us get seasick) and it is a lot less expensive even if I get two junior suites right next to each other.
I see that SoS is an older ship, so I'm afraid of being disappointed, and I was wondering if you all had any thoughts and good advice for me.
DU for 2 11's is now about $5200 and 2 junior suites (windows, but less bath) will be $4600 but I think that's without insurance, which I will want to get.
Honestly, the entire amount is more than I would like and I have seen that I can get an F1 category double and quad rooms next to each other on RCCL would be half of both those amounts--about $2600 but w/o insurance.
Also, I'm allergic to smoke and DH refuses to gamble in any way.
Help! I need advice! Or, should we just use our DVC and go to WDW during Spring Break?
