I think I have a good handle on the arrival portion, thanks to the great posts on the "flying in the day before" thread. (Hyatt lobby bus passes, luggage tags, etc.) Oh, and just to confirm ... there is NOwhere to pickup some 6-packs of beer and pop, from the Hyatt location, right?

One last detail.
After the cruise:( do the departure flights tend to be late enough that we won't have to worry about rushing off the ship to the first busses? Can we hang out for a leisurely disembarkation?
Any great tips for this side of the coin? Early acquisition of bus passes if necessary, stuff like that?

Thanks!

I can't confirm that. Sometimes hotels sell single beers in their gift shops, but I'm sure that the prices the Hyatt would be charging for this convenience would be comparable to what you'd pay on the ship. There are definitely not convenience store-type shops in the airport.

If you book your air through the cruise line, you should have plently of time to debark the ship and make it to the airport. They recommend allowing four hours between ship and airport, and they seem to stick to that when booking air for their passengers. Our flights have always been at 12:45pm, and we've usually gotten to the airport in plenty of time. If you leave the ship at 9:00am, which I think is the latest they'll allow you to remain onboard, you should still be at the airport by 10:30am.

On the beer question, I think Dave is correct that you can buy single bottles of beer through room service at the Hyatt (I don't remember a gift shop there), but if I remember correctly, they're about $4 for a domestic beer. Kind of pricey. I didn't find any stores in the airport mall which sold 6- or 12-packs of beer or soda. We ended up stocking up in St. Maarten for the rest of the trip.

Looks like we'll stick to wine and powdered Koolaid mixes for those first few days.
Glad to hear about the lack of rush for the airport. That's one less thing to get all frenzied about;) We're not really morning people anyway, so we'll definitely take our time and leave when we're kicked off at 9.
As always, Thanks guys!
