Received an email from my TA. For Canadians, 25 % off select cruises Jan - Feb 2011.
Unfortunately, I can't go then.... :sad2:

Just thought I'd pass the info along. :)

too bad there is nothing for the 3 or 4 night cruise. This will be our first cruise, so we want to take a short one first to kinda 'test the waters' - pun intended.

Could you share more info on this?

Sure!

Disney Cruise Lines released a special Canadian resident rate of 25% off per passenger on MOST 7 night Caribbean cruises sailing between January 8, 2011 and February 26, 2011. The rate is available on certain stateroom categories. I have sold a number of Disney Cruises and this is really a fantastic way to save some money on what is a dream trip for many but who sometimes don't have the budget for it. I called all my clients yesterday who have been pondering a Disney cruise! The offer is only applicable to new bookings though. The amazing Disney Dream will not be part of this since it does not do 7 night Caribbean sailings.

Any additional info on this would be appreciated ... specific dates ,,, room categories etc.

There are 8 sail dates for 1 week itinearies during the time frame the rate is offered on the stunning Disney Magic. The ship alternates between the Western Carib 1 week, and the Eastern Carib another week. Both itineraries though do stop at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas, and it is SO MUCH FUN there! Anyway :) The offer applies to stateroom categories between 4A -11C. There are 18 different categories in between there. It doesn't apply to the suite categories though. And just from doing a quick scan, the dates in January and the start of Feb are less expensive than the dates from mid to late Feb.

For those considering a 3 night Bahamian cruise this fall between the start of September and mid December 2010, there are also some special rates for just the inside category though, and for 4 night Bahamian cruises for various sail dates between late October and the start of December, also for inside stateroom category :)

I can't find a code anywhere, I googled, checked mousesavers etc...?? Would love to know the code. :goodvibes

This is a GREAT offer!

We're booked on Disney Magic on February 12, 2010 and looking at taking advantage of this special. With other cruise lines we've been on, when there's been a price drop befor final payment is due, we've received that price drop via an onboard credit. Anybody know is DCL does the same?

We've got a great cabin (secret porthole!) and would hate to lose it by cancelling and rebooking...but we will if we have to!

Code is "CAN" ....

I thinking about booking it ....

That's great! I've already booked 3 families since the code came out this week. The savings are amazing! I really hope that this becomes a huge success for Disney and Canadians and they consider extending the rate to other dates and sailing regions.

If any Disney fans out there have dreamed of cruising Alaska, the Disney Wonder will be sailing the region in the summer of 2011, and those sailings have been booking like crazy!

I rebooked my cruise earlier this week so that I could get the deal. I lost my cabin. In my case, it was no big deal. They said there were no more room available at the category that I had been booked in, so I had to move up a category, but even still, I saved $600.

The amount owed for my final payment was reduced. It was not an OBC as someone else asked.

Well, I got it done...here's what I did:

First, I booked a brand new reservation for the same sailing date in the same cabin catagory (10A)...this was hit and miss as it disappeard from being available for a while this morning, but then showed back up and I was able to book it...DCL gave me a new reservation number.

Second, I called up DCL and told them what I wanted to do. They had no problem transferring my secret porthole cabin to my new reservation number, along with the deposit I had already paid, then cancelled my old reservation. As mentioned by canadian_mouse, it isn't an onboard credit, it just means my balance owing is lower.

The only downside was they weren't able to transfer my early dining reservation...the moment we cancelled our old reservation, our early dining slot went to the first family on the waitlist....however, we were added to the waitlist, and I'm hopeful that with almost six months to go that enough people will cancel and that we'll move up the waitlist and get back our early dining.

The best news, of course, is the savings! For our family of four, it's US$675!

I gave the code to my Friend who are crusing Jan 29 and they saved over $1300 and were able to keep the same rooms they had booked previously...

That's odd. I'm a TA as well and I don't see it anywhere on my disneytravelagents site yet, nor have I gotten an email announcement for it :(

But I can get it if I manually enter the code through the disneycruiseline website.

I didn't get an email about it either in my D-Mail which was surprising. I got a heads up from a rep at Disney Canada the day before it came out. I can see and book the rate directly through our agency software.

The offer is on the Disney travel agents site for Canada. Go to Featured Offers and Select All Offers and then Disney Cruise Line, and you will see it there including all the deets :)

Would any of the TAs (or others) know if this offer has been offered in past years? I doubt we can swing a cruise this Jan but next Jan would be perfect!!! :) Wonder what the chances are???
