If you had to choose between 1-day Food & Wine or Disney Classics/favorites which would you choose?

Short story long, I had to bump my April trip by a week and my MK is blocked. Tacking on some OC visits with fam and friends after a trip to Cabo, so Disney was not the primary trip but a bonus. My besties daughter is a CM and thankfully is signing us in on the 11th.

My original plan was 3-4 half days while bestie worked, doing F&W 2 days but then also savouring those faves we all know and love (I’m looking at you Ronto Wrap and Dole Whip), and finally trying the QuesaBirria Tacos from Cocina Cucomongo. As much as I wish I could eat all of it, I most assuredly would regret that choice in more ways than one. LOL.

Ooh...tough call.

But those quesabirria tacos are SO GOOD. If it helps at all, the portion for those is small. You get 2 tacos and the consomme, no chips or rice and beans or anything. You could split that. So, it's totally do able to get those and ALSO try some festival foods.

I'd just plan on splitting EVERYTHING, if your bestie is game. I'd split a Ronto wrap and a Dole whip at DL, then at DCA, split the tacos, and think of like 2 or 3 festival items you want to try and share those as well. The festival food portions are small, so you shouldn't end up feeling overly stuffed if you share all day.

Excellent, just the type of feedback I was hoping for. For some reason I pictured a food coma after the tacos (like the nachos at lamplight, I need a nap after those! lol)

Realized I can also come back to DTD another day and get a dole whip at the DLH and grab a churro (requirement), so will scour those F&W menus and worst case use any leftover sip and savour tabs on the mickey macaron to bring to family.

Now to scour menus… ;)

Good plan. Yeah, those tacos are NOTHING like the nachos at Lamplight. I would honestly consider the tacos a snack, even if you eat them both. They are very tasty, but not filling at all. When we ordered them, we ALSO grabbed a Sourdough loaf next door at Pacific Wharf (tastes great dipped in the taco juice) AND some pot stickers at the chinese place.

However, the churros at DtD are not nearly as good a as the ones in park. But the DLH gives you WAY more Dole Whip for the price (like 2x the amount you get in the park, easily).

Good to know on the churros - I will grab a midnight churro on my way out of Dland then. ;)

I have a feeling I will be caught slurping the Burria consomme straight from the container. No shame!

Ok, had to report back on my whirlwind 1-day at DLR last Monday. It turns out it was me, my bestie and her daughter, so my plan to do F&W took a backseat. Instead we indeed focused on classics: breakfast Ronto Wrap and churro, Mickey Pretzel + plastic cheese, Churro Toffee, Carnation Cafe Potato Soup, and of course … the Burria, OMG the Burria - why don’t they serve the consommé as a soup in a breadbowl someone tell me!!??!!
