From the Parks Blog:
Reservations Available Now for Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival Events

More information available at:

I went to the reservation page and it looks markedly different than in previous years. You need to register (name, address, etc.) before you can see what's available.

I did notice that the Culinary Demonstrations are appear to be limited to Fri, Sat, and Sun. They're free to watch (standing room only, no tasting), but they are offering a VIP package that includes reserved seating, tasting, and a meet & greet for $30 per person.

Also, some of the events are listed as 21 and over only...and full payment is due at the time of registration and there are no cancellations, exchanges or refunds.

Looking at some bev seminars, what happens if you get rained out? I'm thinking Disney isn't like "lol we're keeping your $$ because no refunds" if they cancel an event- any experiences with that?

Also, can you pay with a gift card? Don't see the option online.

Do the bev seminars sell out quickly?

Will this make the parks much busier? Maybe we should spend the festival day that we are there at DL instead of DCA?

I'd be curious to know what they'd do if there is inclement weather as well. So many things seem to be outdoors. My guess is that, like other events, if they cancel the event, they'll issue a refund. I can't imagine them saying, "sorry, we had to cancel the event, but we're keeping your money". That being said, I would certainly inquire with Guest Services before booking anything.

I feel like it's hard to guess how any particular thing will impact park crowds these days, but I don't think the F&W Festival alone will make DCA all that much busier than it would be normally. The F&W Festival overlaps with a good portion of Spring Break season (and the SoCal resident ticket deal), so the parks are likely to be busy in general.

I would guess that either allears.net or the Disney Food Blog will have the info up pretty soon. Otherwise, if you go to the reservation website, it has a complete listing of what you can reserve once you get past the registration page.

Last year, I found Saturday to be less crowded than Friday due to blackout dates for passes. But with the SoCal discount, I think it will change things.

I did book my first beverage seminar for Friday, March 16th though. :)

My mom signed up for the Sweet Sundays March 11th event with Emily Ellen...it was $224.88 for two people. It sounds like its a 2 hour thing, with some tastings. Awfully spendy IMO, hopefully its worth the experience.

Not sure if this info is old or new
