DCA Custom Touring Plan and Maxpass

I don’t think my DL Park plan is probably very good either. I will post it in a separate thread.

Coaster nuts plan looks good.

Where TP can work for DLR is when you get to those “where to next” moments. This requires you to check off rides as you do them even if not in the TP sequence. If you optimise what you have left to do it should give you the next b st ride to go on.

If you have max pass though it is fairly redundant as I would just check that next

Touringplans is definitely fantastic for WDW. I often end up going with large groups of multiple families, and it makes a massive difference in planning which groups go where, how to fit in ADRs, etc. It's not perfect on times either, but it is always ballpark-right...and their plans for getting through things on busy days really makes a huge difference. My sister-in-law (who was a college program girl) thought I was some kind of genius getting us through so many highlights with so few lines until I showed her the software. After trying Disneyland, I can clearly see a massive difference in accuracy. I also tried RideMax - not nearly enough features, also shot out some weird order although it seemed better. (I am kind of a big data geek, so I am genuinely curious about these systems and wanted to try it out).

The recommendation for Disneyland Daily is perfect for what I am looking for - I am reading up now. Thank you board folks!!

I always feel bad when someone says they payed for Touring Plans, knowing that their recommendations will so often lead people astray!

Exactly. But unfortunately at the end of the day if people get everything done on their TP they are happy because they don't realize how much better it could have been. Maybe they could have fit say 8 more rides in that day. They then go and tell their friends how great it was not knowing any better.

For the first two hours you want to get as many non-FP attractions experienced as you can. Then mix in some FP attraction toward the end of the two hours.

8am-830am: Use MP and get FP for Toy Story Midway Mania (return time should be 830-930, you have until 945 to use it), ride Mater's first then Luigi's
830-10am: Second MP get FP for Racers, Pal Around, Emotional Whirlwind, Jellyfish, Goofy, Zephyr, Symphony. Third MP/FP for Incredicoaster.
Use FP for Mania, Jessies Carousel, use FP for Incredicoaster. Next MP/FP for Guardians
10am-12pm: Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc, use FP for Guardians, Next MP/FP for Soarin, use FP for Racers.
Lunch
1pm: Next MP/FP for Grizzly, use FP for Soarin, use FP for Grizzly

I guess it just depends how you use it. Even though I wouldn’t recommend the service to everyone for Disneyland, The big issue with TP to me is just how poorly it uses Maxpass. You can’t set up the software to get a Maxpass during breaks, or while you’re in line, only right before you get in line for an attraction. It also never recommends enough MaxPasses. Additionally, it has too much cris-crossing of the parks, even when you select minimize walking. But if you’re willing to tinker with their initial recommended plan, all of those problems can be overcome, and you’re left with a plan that has fairly accurate wait and walking times.

Also their print-and-go plans are well done.

But for sure, their WDW service is far more valuable
