DC - OCt or Dec - does it matter?

I just got an unexpected bonus from work so I was thinking of using it to do DC. DD is 10. We're going to WDW in both Oct and Dec so trying to decide which is best. I'm leaning towards October because the weather is likely to be warmer and DD and I have still have active Platinum passes to SW that will get us a discount. However, BIL is joining us and I know won't pay the freight (and we can't afford to treat him) so my guess is DH will bow out to keep him company and it will be just DD and I. If I did talk DH into it, he would probably only do the non swim option. If I choose Dec, BIL won't be along, so I can probably get DH to go, plus I figure it will be less likely for rain since it's past hurrican season. But I really hate swimming unless it's really hot. I don't go to the water parks unless it's over 80.
Any thoughts or input?

the dry season starts around late sept-early october, so rain won't be factor (knock wood) both months. even with wetsuits, the water in DC is cold...around 72 degrees. I'd rather have the october weather to balance it out. december is still usually great weather, but even 5 degrees makes a difference when you climb in and out of the water. at $250.00 pp I want to enjoy the day.
