Do you get any discount if you make reservations 1 year or more in advance?

I have seen that there are a lot of discounts out now, thanks to Mousesavers.com. Are those discounts normal or is it just a slow year? I think the moderate rate is around $100.00 a night right now.

I guess I am tring to find out if it is better to book early or wait 3, 4, or 5 months out.

I would hate to pay $170-200 for a moderate room when I could get it for $100.00. I guess I am a cheapo person, I would much rather spend more money on souvs and food then a hotel but want to stay on Dis property. There is 5 in my family that is why we would like to stay in a mod rather than 2 value rooms.

Thanks for all the help!

AP discounts are generally much better than DC rates, and are usually announced just a few months ahead of time. The best thing to do is book a room once you have firm dates, then change to the discounted rate as soon as it is announced. It's true that discounted rooms have a limited availability, but I've never had trouble getting the discount.
