We'll be staying at Pop Century Dec. 15 - 22, but we only have 4 day hopper passes. We will not have a car, only Disney transportation. Does anyone have any ideas on what to see and do on the 3 days that we don't have park tickets? Can you visit the other resorts? Thank you.

Resort hopping is always fun around christmas time, GF has a big gingerbread house that is neat to see.
And you can putt putt golf at winter summerland, its really fun.You can spend a day at DTD, disney quest.
At FW there are camp fires at night with movies and you can cook smores. Theres also a fishing pond over at POR if you enjoy fishing.
There is so many things to do and I never can find enough time to do it all!

We have always chosen to do Downtown Disney for a day without passes! And if it's raining we do a movie there too. Walk around, visit the shops, take a boat ride to Old Key West or Saratoga Springs! We also plan a day to just spend at the hotel and swim in the pool!

DTD is great at Christmas time, but so are the resorts. You definitely should try to get to some of the deluxe resorts to see the decorations. AKL makes an African marketplace from chocolate, GF makes a life-size gingerbread house that you can buy gingerbread from, one of them does a life-size chocolate and gingerbread carousel, and one does a boardwalk theme park made from chocolate (don't remember which). I've seen them on Travel Channel specials, and these things in addition to the decorations are really cool.

Horsebackriding, pony rides or hayrides at Ft Wilderness.
Rent a surrey bike!
Rent a mouse boat.
Afternoon tea at GF.
Relax.

Let's see. You could take the Disney bus from Pop Century to MGM. Then either the walkway or the boat from there to the Epcot resort area. Play a round or two of mini golf at Fantasia Golf (there are two very different courses) - it's beyond the Swan. Then tour around the rest of the Epcot resorts. Eat lunch/dinner at Beaches and Cream, ESPN Club, or Big River Grille. Or just have some pizza at the take out window at the Boardwalk. Pick up some pastries from the Boardwalk bakery for breakfast the next morning. Take the Boardwalk bus to Downtown Disney, visit some shops, then take the bus back to Pop Century.

Or you could take the Pop Century bus to the Magic Kingdom, then take the monorail around to those resorts. The walk between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian via the Wedding Pavilion is nice. As is the walk from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary. We like seeing all the Walk Around the World bricks.

Or you could take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then the boat over to Fort Wilderness and go horseback riding, canoeing, bike riding, ski boating or just enjoying nature.

Disney World doesn't have to mean going through a turnstyle.

Some things to do on non-park days:

-Go to Downtown Disney. Shop, eat, and visit Disney Quest. There are lots of fun things to do there.

-Take the bus to Epcot or MK, then board the monorail. Ask to ride in front. Do the resort loop- get off at the monorail resorts and explore. Ride the Epcot loop- you'll get a good view of Epcot's Future World section. After you get off the monorail at MK, take a boat over to Fort Wilderness campground- there is a free campfire each night with Chip and Dale. You can also take a wagon ride at the campground. After the campfire, a classisc Disney movie is shown in a cool outdoor ampitheater. Very fun!

-Go to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon and spend the day playing in the water.

-Go to Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland mini golf course. You can get there on the TL or BB busses.

-Stay at your resort and have fun at the pool. Explore the gift shop, and eat at the Food Court.

-You can rent different watercraft at any Deluxe resort- you don't have to be staying there. Lots of fun!

-Head over to the Boardwalk resort in the evening- there is lots of neat stuff to do and see. There are fun restaurants, you can rent a surrey bike to ride around the lake, and there are entertainers who are really fun.

These are just a few of the great things to do at WDW without heading into the parks. Have fun!! :wizard:

Ride the monorail around the monorail resorts, and take boats some others (like Wilderness Lodge.) Check out all the gift shops. Walk on the beach at the Poly.

Hang out at the pool.

Walk around the Boardwalk/Yacht Club/Beach Club area. Get ice cream at Beaches and Cream.

Eat a character meal at one of the resorts.

After dropping an unmentionable amount of cash on a three day spree at WDW last July all my children talked about was Winter/Summerland Mini Golf. We're headed back for the week before Christmas and they're more charged about the Summerland course than the Rock N Rollercoaster! Go figure.

My wife and I honeymooned nearly 9 years ago at WDW. One of our best days was visiting the WL, biking to Ft. Wilderness and canoeing until late morning.

You can't go wrong at DTD either.

Have fun!

Downtown Disney is always fun, so is checking out other resorts, or just exploring your resort more.
