Welcome new Day's friend....:goodvibes

Think of me as the S&K groupie:rotfl:

Ya know, it used to be the younger set/teens were used in the summer months to lure the kids on summer break in, but it seems they are moving forward with them all the darn time now. But, it is getting around I think and we will see our vets taking over some screen time with this on the run story, a plot line from the past that always worked.

I personally cannot see ONE more hour of news or talk shows on TV...I work and don't watch them anyway, but still, its just the same stuff on the news over and over....good grief, OJ is on every newscast right now...who gives a crap about him, why give him ANY air.....:confused3

Yeah, this local channel felt the need to show all those boring speeches yesterday, if I was really interested, I would have been there;) Geez....they may have had it scheduled to show in the middle of the night, but I didn't see that flashing on the screen that they were doing that...it is on other channels here, but the one that got ripped was the one I have it set for:mad:

Off to work, will check in later

If E.J. is in Mexico why is he wearing sweater in the bar and others are in short sleeves. Steve even had his leather jacket on. :confused3 I did love watching Steve taunt E.J.

Claire had that big flower in her hair again today. The scene didn't go well I am surprised they didn't do it over. Clarie wanted to go back to Phillip when Belle had her to kidnap her. Then I was waiting for Phillip to have blood with all the punches Shawn did to his new face.

Marlena was not but no mention of that coin that disappeared.:confused3

On my previews Lexi is on tomorrow so she is still on.

Hey guys, this is the article from TVGuide online, future sounds bleak for DOOL!

http://community.tvguide.com/thread.jspa?threadID=700016983&rssDate=12345678

I remember the same things being said the last time DOOL was up for renewal (2004?). The powers that be were even speculating sending it over to SoapNet to continue as a series, then everything cleared up and a new contract was inked. There's plenty of time between now and then for things to get turned around. If only JERk would keep away. Isn't he still listed as a writer with the show? :rotfl:

I think the problem with the teens on the show is not persay, that they are the younger crowd but the writers are not writing young material for them. We should see them in school, with their friends, worried about teen stuff, you know, like....zits, tests, teachers, boys, dances, after school jobs....normal stuff that makes them endearable. Instead, they are now skipping all the formative years and plunking them in the "tweens" of high school-college-family with no real storylines. Its just situations happening to them, many of which are with adults or are too adult in nature for their character. Remember when we actually used to see Belle, Shawn, Mimi, Phillip, and Jan at school and worried about school stuff? The writers are growing up the characters too fast with nothing to substanciate the characters. Poor Will is nothing but a shaggy shell of a skateboarder who is supposed to be a baseball player (yeah...right) who just reacts to his parents situations and leaves to go "places"????? Chelsea is a self-centered brat. Abby is a sweet girl. Nick is a computer nerd. You get the drift, no depth to these characters. I could care less if they all just blew up tomorrow in a Dimera plot gone bad. Seriously, it wouldn't change a thing on the show!

I'll get off my soapbox now......:lmao: :lmao:

You hit the nail on the head with the young ones.

I remember they had real life issues going in the story lines. Like the fat girl in school. Or when Julie's son was dating a black woman. Now it is just drivel.

Poor Will next he will show up in a suit and be a lawyer or something. And we will wonder how he got there. :rotfl2:

OMY Gosh, I just read a spoiler/rumor on another site that says Willow might be pregnant.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  :sad2:

OK, that is so dumb on so many levels.......of course it could all be a lie on her part............I just hope it is a rumor and not true

I hope that this isn't true but one of her ploys to "win" Shawn back. I was actually about to post a comment wondering how long it would be until she said that she thinks she's pregnant. But if Shawn was smart it wouldn't be his, so any takers on who it could be and to how far of a lie she would go? My guess, any John as a "revenge" for the night he dumped her. That way it would look like his, until the blood test that is.

The younger kids do need some plot development that is realistic. They need to show them going tos chool, working real teen jobs, hanging out in coffee shops and regualr resturants. This Che' Roug hangout isn't cutting it as. They had the potential to bring these kids up and attract the younger audience but it looks like they blew it.

To answr a pp question about the cupcake...it was to celebrate "Doodlebugs" b-day. As dads tend to get overlooked.

Thanks RancherPooh.

I think they are grooming Maggie to take Alice's role. She is always there. She really doesn't have a story line.

I wish they would name that baby already. Doodlebug is cute but she needs a real name before she becomes a teenager and older than Will :rotfl2:

Maybe she will date Will, Bo isn't really a Brady, Lucas isn't related to Victor so it would still be ok. Oh but Lucas is now part of the Horton clan and so is Hope.

NAB fast is this true????

Oh dont make me come up to your beautiful country and make you tell me ... my pet Only I KNOW the truth about the glove ...... the truth has yet to come out

It is showing up in quite a few spoiler boards I visit....ick on Willow being preggars by Shawn, but yet it makes perfect soap sense:rolleyes:

I have not seen clips of tomorrow's show with Steve in Mexico, but read a play by play as it was being viewed by a Canadian friend and it sounds AWESOME....I will hang around tonight til someone posts the Canadian clips.....Steve is gonna put that old EJ in his place!

For any fans that post here and live in Florida...SN & MBE are gonna be appearing at the outlets in Ft. Myers the first weekend in February. Too bad I'm gonna be in Ft. Myers the end of February:mad: But I'm saving up for the June event

Did anyone read about Drake in Soap Opera Digest? It seems a crazed man appeared in their backyard and rushed at his wife screaming that he was going to take the devil out of John. Drake and his son Ben rushed the guy, Drake punched him a good one and then they duct taped him until the police came. Scary stuff.

I love babies - don't get me wrong. But do all the story lines HAVE to involve having a baby? And do all the dads have to be someone other than the husband? This works once in a while, but it's sure being overused here. In the last year or so, we've had Marlena, Belle, Hope (although in the end Bo was daddy), Sami (maybe), Willow (maybe), we're wondering about Billie. Sigh. Can't they come up with something more original? Next it'll be Kayla. :sad2:

Thank you for the welcome! You guys all seem great - you may see me here quite a lot!

ITA with your assessment that we do not, in any way, need another hour of news on daytime TV. Here in the Boston area, the news is already on NBC from 5am until 9, then Regis & Kelly (no idea why this ABC-owned show is on NBC in this market?:confused3 ), then another hour of the Today show, 1 hour of Megan Mullally, (which I've heard has been axed), ANOTHER hour of news, then Days, followed by Passions. Take a minute, please. Do you feel a burning need for another hour of news to be interjected in that schedule? No, me neither. Now subtract Passions from the lineup. And take into consideration that the local affiliate interrupts Days for EVERYTHING that happens during the day. Why, why, why???

As for the teen thing, I know that TPTB try to attract a younger audience to keep the show alive, but if they made the storylines more reasonable, as another poster mentioned, (girl/boy-, friend/enemy-, prom/graduation-dramas, instead of hiding in caves in Puerto Rico (remember that little gem?), chasing mega-bad guys, etc., I'd think those stories would be more appealing to possible new viewers.

One more thing (I'm over-caffeinated today, sorry!), I LOVE, LOVE that Bo & Hope nicknamed the baby Doodlebug, since that's what I've called my own
DD5 since she was tiny.

OK, I think I'm done now. Who's next? <sigh>Thanks for allowing my little rant! :goodvibes

Lali, how cute you have a doodlebug too:goodvibes

Someone spoke of all the pregnancies, ending up with who is next Kayla? I really expect them to bring on board a baby Johnson, they've been talking about it SO much and hinting..but I really think they will NOT mess with who the daddy is with this couple........let's face it, Kayla has supposedly been "true" (except for that little phase with Shane, which I chose to block out..;) )to Steve for all his missing years. I don't understand the need to give all these "mature" players babies?? Not that it's wrong or anything, but honestly, Marlena in real life is almost 60 years old, beautiful still, but in real life would she be having a baby? Doubtful...oh well, that is why we love Day's so much....

Yes, NIX on more news in any area.......:thumbsup2

Gotta love duct tape! Who knew it could actually be used in real life to apprehend a criminal?:thumbsup2
