In addition to Kirsten (Belle) leaving, I thought I read that the fellow playing Shawn, was involved in some other aspect with acting, and that is why they had him in this storyline, to lessen his "on screen" time, to accomodate his other acting gig. If they replace both of these young actors, it will be hard for me to accept new people playing them, unless the newbies are awfully good!! I enjoyed these two people in their roles. Just like there have been different Bo's, and really, Peter Reckell IS Bo, just as Kristian Alfonso IS Hope. JMHO

Ohhh, I didn't think about the Kristen Blake on the island thing??? you do have a point. But didn't Peter die or was that another death/ come to life thing on Days???

This whole Shawn in the cage thing is really gettind old! I find the whole story line not only stupid, but I really think Jan straddling him in next to nothing, trying to get his clothes off, and making all the suggestive comments is really just a bit over the top. I sure hope they don't think that this story line appeals to the teen crowd. My daughter, almost 13, is just grossed out by the whole thing.

Do you think they will ever explain why no one (aside from Tony) has any scars from their 'deaths'? Or why, after being embalmed at the funeral palor, are they still alive and kicking?? Unless, of course, the guy from the funeral home is in on it as well?? Maybe he really isn't what he seems................

I guess they are being kind not having Jennifer endure being killed!

for those of you that can't watch everyday...there's another spoiler site out there that i read daily...it's fabulous!! Early Edition Spoilers but be warned...they have detailed reports as to what's happening on DOOL for the next day! if you don't want to know...then don't read!!

i don't know who's behind it...i think they need a new bad guy aside from stefano. i was thankful when he left the show...he just drove me nuts with all of his plots to take over everything. we need a new bad guy!!

and why would victor be behind all of this? what's his problem with everyone else? aside from wanting to be with caroline, why would he have "killed" abe, jack, roman, etc? and then frame marlena? i'm so confused...

i so like the idea of peter and kristin being behind it...

They are playing Stefano music all the time, but maybe for Kristen, of course she is Ashley on Y and R so would they recast?

I would love to see the return of Kristen (by the original actress, of course). I loved watching her play the dual roles and all of her craziness. If I remember correctly, when Susan tricked her, she left her in some harem somewhere in the Middle East? She would be so easy to bring back into the storyline, but it sounds like the original actress may not be available.

As for the original Peter, I don't think we'll see that actor returning while the original Jennifer is still on. She had left previously after her real-life husband discovered her real-life affair with the this actor. So if Peter is involved, I'm pretty sure it will be recast.

Wow Tina - I had no idea that the actress and actor (Peter & Jennifer) had an affair. I guess Melissa Reeves and her husband made up since as far as I know, they're still together?

I believe they did patch things up. That was the reason for her leaving the show back then.

I started watching Days years ago with my grandmother over my summer vacation. There have been some crazy storylines, but this one ranks right up there. I can't figure it out either. I just hope they don't drag it on so long that we all get tired of waiting for the outcome.

And for the record, I'm tired of the birdcage story too.

OMG I never thought about the potty issue. I wish I wasn't watching it in real time so I can skip those parts. Between the bird cage and the Crystal/Nicole story line it reminds me why I normally won't watch over the summer. Stupid story lines.

I read on Dustin's that Caroline will be back on July 15th. I suspect that they will act like she's been there all along, or actually it may still be only a couple days since Marlena arrived.

They can't end the Jan/Shawn storyline fast enough.

Wouldn't you know they left Jen hanging on the vine for the long weekend. Space down for the spoiler I read:

Jack will find Jennifer and deliver the baby. He's had experience with that (he delivered Abby in a cabin during a storm). That should be a good show.

I thought Jack was on another show. How is he back??? Also, when the plane crashed why didn't Jen look for the cell phone, instead she got all excited over the camera. HELLO call for help. Done venting for now, more venting when the show is back on. LOL

Jack is finished with the other show. I heard that JERk planned this all along and they knew Jack would be coming back.

Kinda repetitive if they're going to be having him deliver this baby as well.

I was also wondering why Jennifer got all excited over the camera. Hello? Your cell phone is going to be way more important...try looking for that.

The show is just off for today and tomorrow and will be back Monday. However, we will be missing two whole weeks of it when the Olympics start. Both Passions and Days will be ending with cliff hangers right before that and we'll have to wait two weeks to see what happens.

Speaking of cliffs...JERk must have had a thing with pregnant women falling off cliffs this week. If you watch Passions you'll know that a pregnant Theresa was also hanging off a cliff earlier this week. The next day on Days we see a pregnant Jennifer hanging off a cliff as well. I think this just goes to show that JERk doesn't have much creativity in him. Also who's going to be walking that close to the edge of a cliff and not be watching where they step???

Now, this hasn't been mentioned in awhile (aside from this whole 'high risk' pregnancy thing), but didn't Lexie tell Jennifer early on in her pregnancy that the baby was going to have some serious health issues? I thought that was the bigger concern of this pregnancy. You know she will be delivering a perfectly healthy son! Also, they have shown Jack daydreaming about Jennifer recently. In all his dreams, she is pregnant. Are we to assume that Jack now knows she is pregnant?

I still want to know how come no one has any scars or why Marlena hasn't asked SOMEONE how they are still alive and kicking!!!

I think Doug told Jack about Jennifer being pregnant when he came to the island. Somebody did because that's what made him decide to get off the island.

This summer of Days makes me crazy. How is Victor on the island with all the others when he was killed by Jan and nothing to do with Marlena? I know that they are supposed to bring back each of the "dead" people on the island a few at a time to be seen on the island. I agree that it would be too obvious if it is Stefano but I read that he is contracted for four episodes with Days. I keep remembering that weird doctor who is loyal to him that mistakenly "sort of" said he was alive.

My guess is that the people will get off the island and home to Salem where they will see their loves with new lives and they'll have sort of dual lives.

I hate the whole Shawn in the cage thing too. Jan is just PSYCHO but gotta give her credit for "getting" her man. I don't know that I want Belle and Phillip together either. This doesn't have anything to do with anything but that fake blond hair she had on at the races needs to go!

I know I'm going to keep watching though because my Dh is now addicted though he wouldn't say that ) We watch it everynight on SoapNet when we are home from work.

DS called home from Wrestling camp and said he wanted me to call him on his cell if Shawn broke out of Jans evil clutches LOL

He is worried about me being home with no one to take care of this week and was trying to make conversation

Also, if you get the soap net channel on cable they show the same day's show in the evening. I just discovered this recently. It's great for all of us that work and are Tivo deprived!

Soap net channel also shows the whole weeks episodes one right after the other on Sunday nights (starts at 7 central time). It's on right now (Wednesday's show). So, if you don't get a chance to watch during the week & don't have Tivo, you could still catch it if you have soapnet.

How many of you Days fans are also Passions fans? Just curious. I know the story lines are among the craziest I've seen, but I love Harmony! Theresa is my favorite!

As far as Days goes, I had enough of Jan long before she was recast! I think they shoulda just axed the whole character. It would be cool if Kristen came back, but isn't she (Eileen) still on Y&R?
