I agree, it seems they are tying up all the loose ends. As for the younger cast, the problem with DAYS is that they wrote themselves into a hole. The storyline for years and years is centered around certain characters. When DAYS brings in new characters, they are always weak ie: Replaceable, without substance. They replace main characters we love with wimpy charaters we can't stand. The other soaps don't have this problem. They are constantly introducing new characters and replacing old characters and the storylines continue and improve. Its because they bring on strong performers and give them great storylines. At DAYS, when we have a younger character we like, they get rid of them or don't do enough to hold on to them. We loved Chloe and Brady, but they wrote them right out of the script and sent them off without a bang. One of the most beautiful ladies on DAYS since Hope was introduced, and she had the ugliest wedding dress and hairstyle ever seen on the show. We loved Nancy & Craig, her parents. It was refreshing to have a real woman with great talent in a realm where too thin (Chelsea...sickening thin) beauties are the norm. We loved old Shawn, we hate new Shaun. No matter what they do, he is wimpy and without enough character to fill the role. We loved old Belle, we hate new Belle. She is whiny and as much without character as new Shaun, she doesn't fill the role. DAYS lost the formula for creating a great soap. The only way to get us to tune in is to bring back all the characters that made this show awesome, but then what

You need a new generation watching to keep the show on the air. So yes, I think this show is on its last legs, and its nice they're going to tie up the loose ends. We deserve it after investing the last few decades to these characters.
