Which one would you choose and why????

Outside of obvious that the Ramada Inn Maingate is closer (I got a rate of $61.33), what are the advantages? The Ramada is a Good Neighbor Hotel, but I'm not booking via Disneyland so will I get the "early entry" advantages?

Ramada Inn Maingate/Saga Across from Disneyland Park

The Days INN. Rate of $49.50. Any reviews or info would be helpful. I know its free shuttle service, but is it close enough to walk. If so how long of a walk. Would you walk with toddlers? Thanks in advance!!!!

I don't know a lot about either hotel except that the Ramada Saga consistently gets less than good reviews from people who have stayed there. The Days in I have not read any reviews.
The Ramada is in a nice location. The Days in is behind Disneyland across the freeway and I wouldn't walk it myself let alone with toddlers.

It's across the freeway. They act like its across the street.

Me and my husband have stayed there several times and I can tell you it's certainly nothing spectacular however for economy and location it's great. It's basically right across the street from Disneyland, they do offer continental breakfast every morning.

I believe DL stopped the whole early entry deal but you can check with your hotel's front desk about this. If it's still going on they will let you know if they offer it to you. :earsgirl:

I have stayed at Days Inn (at 1111 harbor?) and it is not walkable with a toddler. The hotel was your basic hotel. The room was always clean. The breakfast was okay (cereal, donuts, juice). I would stay there again if the price was right.

We stayed at the Ramada Maingate two years ago. It is definitely walkable with a toddler. If you want to go back to the hotel for naps, that's a consideration. If it were me, I'd rather be able to go back when I need to instead of waiting for a shuttle.

I seem to recall that the rooms were nice. It's not the Grand Californian, but you're not paying that price, either. We have simple tastes (read "poor white trash" ;) ), and we liked it just fine. The pool has a slight tree-and-rocks theme which I though was kinda nifty, and the continental breakfast was fairly simple--I think there were donuts and waffles. There seemed to be plenty of parking. The room doors open to the outside (no interior hallways) if that makes a difference to you. From our second-story room, we could just see the top of Grizzly Peak, which was very exciting that first night we were there. I didn't have a digital camera then, or I could send you a whole slew of pictures. :earsgirl:
