Days Inn at Santee SC, good stop?

I need opinions and advice on what hotel to stop at along I-95. We leave April 16 and DH wants me to check into a hotel to stay in overnight. I heard South of the Border isn't a good option. Has anyone tried the Days Inn in Santee South Carolina? How long would it take us to get that there if we leave the Bronx, NY at 6am?

Also, any other hotel recommendations?

Please help, i've been trying to research the info on my own but the oly thing I'm getting is a big headache

I don't know much about the Days Inn, but the Fairfield Hotel in Sumter, SC is about $60 per night and is very nice place (About 10 hrs 45min from Bronx) Hope this Helps!!
