Days Inn at Maingate of Universal

Afternoon

Just wanted to see if anyone had stayed at this hotel which is supposedly near Universal (at least the name would make you believe this!!). I'm getting a rate for about £20 a night in June which is great - any thoughts on this.

Hi, we stayed at the holiday inn universal (we paid $50 a night, and got a suite!) and if i remeber i saw the days inn and it is quite near to the holiday inn. I think we walked past it to get to dennys, which was only about a 1 min walk.

On the days we went to universal we walked. the hardest part was crossing the main road to the entrance. then it is just about a 15 to 20 min walk to the gates of the actual parks (along proper paths going past the hard rock hotel, then past the valet parking area, then up the escalters to the moving walk ways).


i just looked a the days inn universal website and it has a dennys so it probably is the one i saw.

Cheers - I may give it a go - we'll have a car anyway and the first week we will be mostly doing Universal and Sea World so it would make sense to be in this area.
