One of the dads in our group is worried about the days at sea... what to do??? Any threads or ideas to calm his worries? We are going on the 7 day Eastern!

What to do with a whole day at sea?

Do you want to see a movie? Take part in a food demonstration? Play a game? Sunbathe? Have a massage? Exercise? Sleep in a comfortable deck chair? Read a book?

There is so much to do and we always feel "so little time to do it all in"!

we had so much fun..waking up, eating, getting sun, taking long walks, tanning, eating, playing bingo, watching a movie, reading, planning our next day, playing the adult games at the pool, meeting interesting people, eating, tanning, swimming and there was so much more

Sea days are my favorites - so much to do or time to do nothing at all.

Sea days are a great day for a spa treatment - I like the alpha capsule.

Take an organized tour of the ship - great for Disney fans as you learn a lot about the little things that make the ship special.

Does he like golf? There is a gold chipping contest in the atrium (using wiffle balls).

Find a good book and grab one of those comfy blue loungers on deck 4 - heaven!

Palo brunch!

Time for a movie!

Go to Diversions, grab a drink and catch a game on the TV.

Just a few ideas. :D

What to do on sea days? First of all we usually have to make difficult descissions (ok I've tried spelling that 14 different ways, I give up:D ) as to what we are NOT going to do. The only movies we have seen were finding nemo (at midnight after leaving Cozumel) and snow dogs - but that was a premear at sea. Never have found the time to go to the movies in the buena vista theater. To much to do. And you though the parks were tough!:teeth:

Jrabbit is so right. It was so hard to decide what to do because there were soooo many options. I also only went to 2 movies and there were both late ones. I will have to go on another cruise because I missed several things like the ship tours. Towl/Napkin folding was cool. Although harder at home without the help of crew members. I wanted to go to Plate/decorating, but we were at the pool too long. Next cruise maybe I just wont sleep.

I tend to be a real on the go person when I am on vacation and like to do lots of things. After taking our first Disney cruise last July, there is no question in my mind that the at sea days were my favorite part of the cruise. We did lots of great things on shore, but the at sea days were the days we all each got to do our own thing and got to choose among the MANY things to do on the ship.

Have him look at the Navigators on Barb's site. Then he'll realize that there's not enough time to do everything he wants to!!!

Our sea day on our four day:

Got up early and we all enjoyed the Goofy pool. I was in the water with the kids and hubby sat on the deck with a book.

Had first breakfast at Beach Blanket Buffet.

Enjoyed the Mickey Slide once it opened.

Had second breakfast at Parrot Cay (we ate like Hobbits on the boat - most meals - except dinner - were light, but frequent. With kids they would seldom eat much at first breakfast - but we were hungry. Parrot Cay, where we preferred to eat, didn't open until later - so it was coffee and a bite early, and a bigger breakfast later when the kids were hungry).

Did some shopping, wandered around the boat. Went to the disbarkation talk. DD changed into her new Princess dress. DD spent some time in the kids club - Snow White came and visited. DS and DH did a programming event (learned to draw Mickey, I believe) and I packed (getting off the boat already the next day).

Look, time for lunch already. DD wants a dress up lunch in her dress, so we head to Tritons.

A 2:30 Matinee of Disney Dreams - its started to rain outside (and we hadn't planned pool time anyway). My kids aren't late nighters and didn't make any of the late shows.

The kids go straight from the Matinee into the kids club for their show rehersal. Thirty minutes later we are back in the theatre to watch the kids parade on stage and sing.

The kids are done, checking them out in the rush is a little hassle (not much), we return the pager as we won't be needing it and dress for dinner.

6:30 dinner. It takes two hours to eat dinner on the boat.

The kids go straight to bed. DH stays with them, finishes packing up, puts the luggage outside and reads or sleeps. I go see a late movie.

for those of you who want tto relive your vacation, why dontt you give us a rundown of what you did each day at sea. i am particulary interested in those who didnt bring children.
