We will be staying in the GF in June. Since my "babies" are now 16 and 20 year old men...will the daybed accommodate one of them? Is it the equivalent to a twin bed. Thanks. :earsboy:

Hi, we stayed in the main building over Thanksgiving and loved it, however this daybed was a surprise to us. It is not as long as a twin and I don't think it is as wide, either. My 14 yr. old son slept on it, but next year I don't think he could do it. It was tight. They will provide you with a rollaway if you need one, but that just takes up so much space in the room.

Good luck. The GF is a fabulous resort, but I really wish those daybeds were standard twin size like they have in the CR and Poly.

I think I've napped in the daybeds. And I'm 6'3", 190 lbs.

I probably wouldn't sleep well on one for the whole night. But I'm used to sleeping in a king at home. If you usually sleep in a twin and aren't too tall or wide, you could probably do it. Especially a 16 year old - they should be able to sleep on anything.

The only daybeds at Disney I consider to be a regular Twin size with a regular mattress are the Polynesian and the Contemporary. The other daybeds are more of a setee with a foam pad. Not very comfortable for anyone other than a young child. In my opinion.

It's smaller than a twin. My 5.5 yr old DD slept on it quite comfortably. I don't know about a 16 yr old.
