We found it to be shorter than the daybed at the YC. I don't believe it was as long as a twin bed. My son was determined to sleep in it, but he had to squeeze his legs up to fit (he's about 5'4"). A small child would fit comfortably.
We just got back. I thought the daybed was really small. I wouldn't put my two little ones on it for sure for fear of them falling off. We used it to lay our junk on.

The daybeds at the villas are MUCH smaller than those at the BWI. The BWI is wider, more like the width of a twin bed, and about 4 1/2 feet long. At the BCV they are much narrower and short.
There is also a "Hope Chest" styled thing in the bedrooms at the DVC resorts, I think many think it is a small daybed due to the padded top.
I've stayed at the BWI twice before, and although the daybed could fit a small child, I remember thinking that I wouldn't be comfortable putting one of my children on it for fear of them rolling off of it. Just my opinion.
