Has anyone been during these times? I am curious as to what the crowd levels are... someone please help. :teeth:

Spam-in-a-can, baby! ;) Thanksgiving is a very busy time. Not quite the same as Christmas/New Year, but still pretty doggone busy.

The Friday and weekend following Thanksgiving are BUSY. We went during Thanksgiving week and found that the crowds picked up a lot the day before Thanksgiving and got busier on Thanksgiving day and on the Friday. They drop off significantly on Sunday night though and the week following Thanksgiving has much lower crowds.

The Friday and Saturday following T-day were horrific, IMHO. We found wall to wall people in Epcot's WS, MGM was a madhouse and we didn't even try to go to MK until Sunday. The people walking around Epcot on Sat were overheard discussing being at MK....didn't sound good at all. The crowds do start to die down on Sunday.

We arrived the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We went to Epcot because it's the largest..the crowds would be scattered throughout. It wasn't too bad. By Monday it was awesome!! That is until the next Saturday..UGH! (filming of Parade and arrival of Pop cheerleaders and football players) We are going the same time again this year only we will be using Saturday for DTD and eating dinner off site. Then Sunday will be our last day. Hopefully it won't be as crowded. :wizard:

Well I was there this past June up until July 2, so I would imagine the crowds may be similar or a little less, do you think? I think even with the crowds since the temperatures aren't going to be like they were in June/July it will all be ok , just as long as it is not 100 degrees we will love it no matter the crowd level :)

I was in MK on the evening after Thanksgiving, 2005. Before I went, I thought it would be packed, but I really wanted to see a DISers son's band. Surprisingly, the crowd level wasn't too bad. Maybe because I expected it to be very crowded. However, on Saturday, I overheard someone say that there was a 3 hour stand-by wait for Soarin'. On Thanksgiving, after dinner, we went over to MGM to see the Osborne Lights, figuring "what a great idea-I'll bet half the world will be there." Surprisingly, that wasn't too bad either. I don't know if it's all about expectations, but I wouldn't hesitate to face those crowds again, since it really wasn't that bad.

Well we are going, so here's hoping to moderate crowds and nice weather.... I hope there is a MVMCP on Sunday!! I loved it this past year!!!

Any suggestions for dinner???

We are staying at the Contemporary!!

We've gone the past few years for Thanksgiving, arriving on Wednesday before and leaving on Monday after. It is very busy, but we get to the parks at opening each morning, and by the middle of the day, we've hit the highlights, then just 'meander' or leave on go somewhere else. We love our Thanksgiving trip!

What kind of hours do they have? Are they extended? We are planning to be there the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We are having a non-Disney vacation, sort of.

Looks like you and I are going to have a similar trip...I am arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Tuesday. We don't feel the need to do everything so I would imagine it would be ok.
