Day hotels at FLL

We are cruising out of Miami then flying out of Fort Lauderdale. I have read a ton about the perks of a day hotel rental when the cruise ends and wondered if anyone knows of a hotel near FLL that does this? We have flights leaving at 6 so it will be a long day of nothing.

FLL Terminal 1 (Southwest) is a nightmare to "hang out" in ....there is almost NO seating or food options outside of security and you can't go through security until 4 hours before your flight. Folks are everywhere waiting for their time window to enter the part of the airport with seats and food. I couldn't find transportation to another terminal to see if there were better options for waiting there...not fun!!!

BTDT with 3 young kids and we ended up booking a hotel for 2 nights - the night before we got off the ship and the night after. So we didn't have to worry about check in and check out. It worked great and we are doing it again this year.
