Just purchased at BCVs last week. I have been reading this board and noticed that some talk about reserving rooms day by day. What does this mean? Why would I want to do it this way?

Also, what is involved in transferring points into an account? Is there a window that within your use year that this can be done?

Thanks for your help!

It allows you to get your reservation started a little earlier than waiting to book 11 months before your your checkout date, then you can just add on to it each day till you get all the days you want.

I have been a member since 1994 and have NEVER done this. The 11 month home resort window for OKW has never been a problem even at the holidays. I have also had no problem getting BCV at 7 months our for this June. I think it is unnecessary and way to much time on phone with MS. I know those who want standard view at BWV will say its a must for these at 11 months. I booked BWV at 7 month for June 2001 and had to get preferred view. I settled for the extra points. Too much trouble. IMHO

I forgot to mention that I will be booking during Easter each year. Kids Spring Break. Will this matter?
Thanks.

You're definately better off doing the day to day thing, especially at holidays and peak periods.

Two years ago, we wanted a standard view at BWV over the Easter holiday. We booked day by day to make sure this happened. When you call MS, just tell them you ar booking day by day and they make note of it. Then, when you book the last day, tell them you want a confirmation letter sent.

I would only book day by day if I wanted a standard view at BWV during a high demand time. I have never had trouble getting what I wanted otherwise.

I've never booked EAster but the only time I have booked day by day is a 2bdrm standard view at the BWV for Christmas.........

I think at Easter it might be busy also...

there are certain times of the year when this is a good idea - Thanksgiving and Easter come to mind - the first 2 weeks of December do to -

Unless you are trying for a standard view at BWV - then call on the first day that afternoon - ask how the reservations look for your resort and size villa - MS will tell how many rooms they still have available (afternoon is best - they have the morning to go by) - if they say no problem plenty available - don't make the rest of your reservations until the last day - if they say you are getting the last villa or even worst that there are none available - I would definitely call for the rest of my trip on a day by day basis.

I called on a daily basis for our December ressies at BCV. I really never thought it was much of a hassle. I was on and off the phone in a matter of minutes.
