Day Bag for Disney...post your pictures, please!

To combat the thought of someone getting into our bag, my friend and I simply used a small lock and key for the pockets where important stuff was being kept. This was in New York and it worked perfectly for us. We would simply unlock it before any bag checks (museums and the like) or when we needed something. Thought it would be a hassle, but it really wasn't.

Re: Travelon Convertible backpack on QVC....I took someones idea and removed the small magnet on the one pocket, just to be safe. I was able to pry most of it off carefully, but ended up cutting the remaining fabric. It made a small hole, but I took a velcro tab and stuck it right over it. Now instead of a magnet closure, there is velcro. No worries about ruining credit cards, etc. I wasnt planning on keeping much if anything in that pocket anyways since it doesnt close completely.

I'm one of the many that bought and used the Baggallini on our last trip to WDW. I found it actually held everything we needed for a day in the parks including our digital camera. I did carry it over one shoulder rather than the way it was supposed to be carried with the strap across the chest.

I didn't get it from Ebags but unfortunately I can't recall the name of the online store right this moment or how much I paid for it but I do know it was less than the Ebags price.

Next time we go (2008 hopefully!) I plan to carry my large, blue Winnie-the-Pooh diaper bag for DS & our stuff. (I used to carry a small, purse-type backpack I picked up at the Everything Pop store when it was just me & DH). This diaper bag set is $20 from Walmart.com. I find them both to be light-weight and very functional.

theirs a SUPER pretty alice in wonderland one i wanted for christmas, but its never in stock (so my mom got me the SB one insted)

I can't comment on that style Travelon, but I have the one listed on QVC as item number F00616, and I love it! I used a khaki one in August, and purchased the black microfiber for my February trip. It is comfortable and has enough space/pockets to hold what I need and keeps me organized.

I am not very good at posting pictures, so here is an ebay auction of a bag that resembles mine. I bought mine at Home Goods for $10. It is a medium size bag. My favorite thing about it is that it's a diaper bag. I have no children but with the plastic on the inside I don't have to worry about anything getting wet on water rides! It's not the same pattern either, the one i have is pink and my sister got a blue one.

That's a good point about the plastic inside protecting stuff from getting wet. I hadn't thought of that.

We had a promotional bag from Citibank that was great for park visits. It was a beach bag that had an entire side made of netting so that the security checks go by very quickly. There is a bottom section that is insulated to bring in chilled juice boxes or bottled water. Unfortunately, our cat had an accident on it and we had to throw it away. In my search to find a replacement, I found out that the county that I live in sells one just like it so I bought it. The bag is a little different from the Citibank bag but has essentially the same features. It is an easy bag to carry and as long as you don't carry valuables in it, it tells thieves not to waste their time.

I brought a bag very similar to G8RFAN's bag. No bottom compartment though. It was great because it was for diapers and baby food, and, since it was see through I could leave it in the stroller when we went on rides without fear of it being stolen. Mine was from Coppertone.

The women on the QVC chat board said to stay away from the ones with the flap front - that it's annoying to have to keep lifting the flap. I hadn't thought of that! This one has a zippered front.

I'll be able to wear this cross-body and be hands free!
