Day Bag for Disney...post your pictures, please!

We were thinking about using one of our son's school backpacks. We wanted something that we can attach to the double strollers at Disney and not have to worry about lugging them on rides. Obviously, nothing of value will be left in there - extra kids shorts, maybe a towel, etc.

I was trying to figure out how to keep them attached to the stroller and my DH came up with the idea of buying caribeaners (sp?) to clip them on. I think this sounds like a good idea. In fact, I'm hoping it's good...

I just picked up a stroller messenger bag. It is very cute , and does not look like a diaper bag. The longer shoulder strap detaches and turns into the perfect size to latch on the stroller. I got it at Burlington's Baby Depot for $19.99.:woohoo:

Could one of you Donner Overland Bag afficionados do me a favor :) and measure how long the strap is when it is fully extended?

I have a Columbia Tour Pouch, but the Overland looks a little more robust. And I am a self confessed Bag Junkie. :rolleyes1

I am waiting for mine to arrive,:woohoo: but will be happy to do so once it is here. I am not a small girl and it fit me well when I tried it on in the store.

Web site http://www.overlandequipment.com/everyday.php?name=donner/index.htm shows an adjustable 1.5" shoulder strap with a 29 inch drop.

Hope this helps.

Just purchased one of these VB large backpacks in Java Blue for our trip beginning this Thursday!!! :woohoo: Anyone ever use one of these?? Pretty pricey, imo, but DH said why don't you go ahead & buy it?! He didn't have to tell me twice!!! But I've been married long enough to know that if he okay'd a $90 purchase for a bag that he must have something in mind that he wants to buy!

I own a few of the smaller VB backpacks and think they are great! I looked at the large backpack recently and felt that it was too big for me, I tend to bump into things while shopping if the backpack is too big:lmao: I did want a bag that would hold more than my small backpack and decided on a VB carry-all (discontinued and discounted:yay: ). So far it's working great!

I agree with the backpacks! I bought one similar (wish I had a pic!) and loved it in the park! So much easier than a purse!

Another person who  their Baggallini (teal)-

Been through two 8 day Disney trips and a few other shorter travels as a carry-on. Still looks great and will be going back with me in January. I've had the bag for a year and a half at this point. :thumbsup2

One reason why I love the bag is because I can put my wallet in the compartment against my back, you cant reach it without touching my back a considerable amount. Another reason why I love the bag is because I can turn it around to reach into it or get on a ride without taking it on and off. Makes life easier.

I ordered a travelon microsuede organizer bag for our upcoming trip next week. I ordered it from qvc.com. It was item F10350, less than $20. I really liked the green color, but wound up ordering the pink. Can't wait to use it.

I just got this bag set as a gift. (The Mickey ste) It's super cute, and I will be bringing it on my trip, but I won't be able to use any of them in the parks because the straps aren't long enough, and it will chafe at my arm, especially when it has stuff inside to weigh it down.

I just bought this bag

I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be exactly what I have been looking for.

I have this bag in red. I love it. BUT.... I took out the magnets. They will zap credit cards and the memory cards in cameras. I wasn't willing to risk losing my precious WDW pictures.
I got mine from ebags.com. It is super light too which is more important as the day goes on.

I know I just posted, but I posted before I made it all the way through the thread.
So.... check out ebay if you're looking for a Vera Bradley that has been discontinued.
I'm a Vera Bradley junkie and a Disney bag junkie in general. I have about 20 different bags that I've bought while in search of the "perfect" bag to use at WDW.
I love this one:

I like the backpacks the best. My Vera Bradleys are light. I spray Scotch Guard on them to help keep them clean and somewhat waterproof.
I have a Baggalinni messenger that everyone raves about - I hate it! $35.00 plus shipping down the drain.

Anybody use the Kipling Lancelot Snap Front Shoulder Bag? I saw it and it looks like a great bag. I tried a search, but not too much on it. I am going to the mall tomorrow. They have the Kipling Store and VB store - going to a little bag search for my trip in 3 weeks.

I have been searching for the "perfect bag for me" for our upcoming trip. I use to use a Vera Bradley backpack and loved it. Now I was looking for something smaller. I am also a VB junkie and just love the slip in pockets on the inside of the bags. It keeps everything so organized! I just bought this bag:

It is perfect! It fits exactly what I need it to and I won't feel like I'm lugging too much around. This time I am trying to bring less into the parks. I am lucky that I will be bringing a lightweight stroller for DS(4) so I will have a basket underneath for our jackets and anything we buy.

I considered this bag too before I bought the Overland Donner. VB Hipster is so cute but it just wasn't big enough for my needs.

Enjoy you new purchase!

Ordered mine today. shoebuy.com...use coupon code MARCH07 and register for their website...you'll get 20% off plus 10%...I paid $37.40 for a $52 bag. Whoohoo!

I just ordered the Overland Donner on Friday. I really can't wait till it comes. When you head to disney, look for the Donner bags and it's sure to be DIS member.

It seems like the Donner may be giving the Bagallini a run for the DISer bag of choice. I had to "bag" my bagallini and have ordered an Ameribag Tech healthy back bag, AND a Donner. I'll pack 'em both with all my stuff and see which one works best for me.

I'm still driving myself crazy with my attempt to find the "perfect" bag!
